On June 19, King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan arrived in Spain to attend the meeting of the Aqaba Process that will be held in Córdoba on June 20 Tuesday. Queen Rania, accompanied by Spanish Queen Letizia, visited the Workshop Schools and Employment Workshops of National Heritage. Thereafter, the King and Queen of Spain gave a lunch in honour of the King and Queen of Jordan.
The Aqaba Process is an initiative of the King of Jordan that aims to hold a series of international meetings for the purpose of strengthening military and security cooperation, coordination and the exchange of experience between Jordan's regional and international partners to combat terrorism.
These two Queens are like sisters, i like their style
ReplyDeleteI was about to write the same !
DeletePut the DoW on the picture too and you have a triplet.
DeleteAgree. Just like sisters..
DeleteGood lord...they could be sisters, :)
ReplyDeleteThey not only look alike, but also dress alike, style-wise.
Both look smart and chic, but while Letizia wears a summery style, Rania's darker choice is puzzling.

Yes, the nose, cheek and mouth look very much alike.
DeleteYes they are looking very similar (after the treatment NOT before).
DeleteSame universal nose etc.
I like the uniqueness of Rania's dress on the other hand the dress of Letizia is more summery.
-Anna-
She is Muslim. That's why she is wearing something that covers her shoulders.
DeleteAnna, “after the treatment”…you are funny. We know what you meant. :)
DeleteIt was a breathing problem fixing:)
Delete-Anna-
Magnifiques toutes les deux ; on dirait deux soeurs. J'adore leurs escarpins !
ReplyDeleteWho says that brunet Barbies don't exist??
ReplyDeleteThey both look lovely, although letizia's dress on the top, seems to wash her, i like the shape and even the thick f as fabric works fine.
And the heels, did they send a memo to each other?
Plus they both really seems to be enjoying each other's company
Luna
Agree !!
DeleteQL: A classic, chic dress style, suits her slim figure so well. Also the length is good. The colours are nice, but I'm generally not a fan of jacquard fabrics.
ReplyDeleteQR: Too black, to 'closed-up'. Culture, I know, but a little more relaxed in Europe would be fine, I think. But I'm a BIG fan of her Manolo Sugata Pumps - because I have a pair myself, in navy/blue tones.
Both Queens look fabulous! The embroidery detail on Rania dress is beautiful. Letizia's floral dress is wonderful--nothing granny style here. Both are elegant and sophisticated styles perfect for each lady.
ReplyDeleteJanet
My sentiments exactly.
DeleteWell said! And both beautiful Queens know how to pick beautiful shoes :)

Both ladies look nice - but... I think Letizia should have sleeves - at least short sleeves, or a light jacket.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know it's summer, yes, I know she's from Spain. But diplomatic protocol says that ladies shouldn't bare their shoulders at a daytime diplomatic event (at an evening one it is allowed). Especially when the host expects guests from Muslim countries. Gentlemen (their husbands) have jackets, although it is hot in Spain in June. And if men can stand it, so should women. (I attended a few receptions - not a meeting with the king, of course - but at a fairly high level and I had to master the protocol.)

I am afraid I disagree. If each country dressed according to the dress code of the visiting country, Jordan would have to compromise their beliefs when receiving visitors. Rania could wear strapless gowns when hosting? I don't think so. It is best to be respectful of the country you are visiting while being respectful of your own beliefs and customs. I think people forget there are liaisons between the countries to make sure these things are worked out before hand. They never go into this blindly.

DeleteThey are in Spain, when in Rome...we are not muslims..respect? For women, please!! They are obliged to live like that.. I'm afraid you have the concepto of protocol and respect abit confused. They should be free.
DeleteIs that bodyoil or bodyglitter on Q Letizia? No matter the amount of bodylotion/oil I smear on..never get that glow :(
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy to see these lovely ladies enjoying each other’s company.
ReplyDeleteLetizia: I love this dress!
Rania: I love her curly hair!
Mabel
Funny pics, they look like best friends on the way home from school telling each other their little secrets and giggling. Other than that, they look fabulous. Queen Rania is a great master of beautiful embellishments/embroidery.

The shoe game is on! Both Queens are wearing beautiful shoes, divine!
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia looks beautiful in this smart and chic floral patterned dress, the fit and style I love, the length is perfect.
Queen Rania's is unique, beautiful with some very interesting features, right down to the buttons on her side split, clever addition. I have never seen this before. The embroidery detail is well done, as is the neckline adding interest. Lovely presentation.
Her shoes seams to match her dress embroidery

ReplyDeleteThese shoes are made for walkin
And that's what they’re gonna do.
Said Nancy Sinatra in the 1960’s
Oh, @Deadeggs, LOL, you' re my myth😉
DeleteComing back later for comments👍
Oh P. the original.
DeleteSorry but somebody pointed out to me that Nancy Sinatra said “these BOOTS were made for walking”
Well yes O.K. but I think that was a special version Nancy Sinatra did for Camilla.
In the 1960’s Camilla would have been a teenager.
QR: Fit and flare. A fabric that holds its shape and the dark color is more of a cultural representation. The shoes are fabulous. Hair and makeup are perfect.
ReplyDeleteQL: The raised flower motif is cheery, summery, and fresh. As usual, the tailoring is excellent, reminiscent of a similar silhouette created for her by Juan Duyos in 2018. Keep bringing those flowers QL! Hair and makeup are perfect.
Eve.
When it comes to a sheet dress I think this one is too long.Otherwise I love the pastel colours and the lilac shoes! I find Queen Rania´s dress too dark and dull.
ReplyDeleteLadyofthemanor
Both Queens look so good!! I love Q. Rania's hair, it is just so luxurious looking!! And her SHOES omg. so pretty!! And Q. Letizia is so pretty in her floral dress!! Less is certainly more for Q. Letizia!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it is more of a European thing, but black is not exclusively for winter or mourning. It is strange to me when I see these comments. Many women wear black year round. It is wonderful seeing the bright colors in the spring and summer, but they do not have to be saved for those seasons. Fashion "rules" are always evolving.
ReplyDeleteWell said! I am for all colours in all seasons. Because why not? (GM)
DeleteGreat photos showing their top level fashion game and strong friendship…so fun! Love love love the fabulous shoes!!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful Queens, They actually could be sisters. Love both out fits and shoes. css
ReplyDeleteTwo long-lost twins (or the same plastic surgeon? hihihi )
ReplyDeleteSam
Queen Letizia's dress is too long and Queen Rania's dress is too dark.
ReplyDeleteMe encantan los zapatos de ambas , parece que Rania se viste muy oscuro últimamente. Llamo mucho la atención en la boda de su hijo por eso.
ReplyDeleteWaslllamwwbr Mashallah both looks soo byutiful.
ReplyDeleteAn my fevret queen is Jordan rania.
Alhmdullilah allahpak gv both good health an safe inshallah ameen
QL looks perfect, her slim figure make her look a teenager. QR is wearing too much black these days. It makes her look older.
ReplyDeleteYou must not know any young people. So many of them don't wear anything but black!
DeleteThese snapshots are delightful. I love how they enjoy being together.
ReplyDelete"You must not know any young people. So many of them don't wear anything but black!"
ReplyDeleteDa-ah! That's why they wear black - to look older (well, among other reasons, of course...)
