Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie and Prince Felix of Luxembourg voted in the municipal elections 2023 on Sunday. The family arrived on foot at the Cercle Cite located in Place d'Armes, which is within a short walking distance of the Grand Ducal Palace. The family fulfilled their duty as citizens by casting their ballot in the Ratskeller office of the Cercle Municipal.

Beautiful summer dress! Ac
ReplyDeleteThe best dress she has worn in a long time!
Deletewhy are the voting. Royals should not pick a side, they are on everyone's side
Luxembourg royals are required by law to vote.
DeleteThis is a very pretty and flattering dress for HGD Stephanie. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteNice summer dress but I don't like her flats. They look like morning slippers.

Same thoughts here. Nice dress. Shame about the shoes.

It is a pretty summer dress, but for someone else. - Ellie
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with you. I think Stephanie looks beautiful and is very appropriately dressed for the occasion.
DeleteNow that's a pretty dress!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric pattern on the front, back and the sleeves is lovely.

Lovely. Perhaps the gentlemen could have done without a tie, it's currently quite hot in that parts of Europe.
ReplyDeleteDélicieuse robe estivale très fraîche qui est flatteuse pour la silhouette de Stéphanie !
ReplyDeleteThis might be my favourite look from Stephanie lately. Great colour for summer, perfect cut - not too tight, not too short, no weird cut-outs... She looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteNot so sure about the mens' attire. I get that they're public figures, but a full suit and tie to walk a few metres and cast a vote seems a bit overkill, especially in this heat. A bit strange for a family that usually isn't shy when it comes to dressing casually. But oh well. Can't complain - they look nice of course.

Flattering dress on a lovely woman.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, summery dress! Stephanie looks lovely. Little Amalia looks cute--love that Felix brought her along while he, along with her aunt and uncle, performs an important civic duty.

How can Felix vote ? He lives in Germany !!
ReplyDeleteTrue!
DeleteDual citizenship, or whatever reciprocal laws exist between Luxembourg and Germany, is what probably gives him the right to vote.
DeleteIt's quite common in many other countries where citizens of one country live in another, but still vote in their home country's affairs as long as they retain their citizenship.

As long as you remain a citizen of the respective European state, you can still take part in national elections. Municipal elections would depend on whether you remain registered there (it's possible to have a secondary residence) or not - but that seems to be the case with Félix.
DeleteEuropean Union citizens can vote in their home country no matter where they live within the EU. As long as they still hold citizenship of their original country.
DeleteLovely dress, perfect choice not only for pregnancy and postpartum periods, but especially good (and designed) for this time. I am also happy with the flats, good colour for this dress. As for the gentlemen, shall I say that Guillaume's pants should be dark because this colour makes him broad? *giggle*. They look nice, even if I am not a fan of jackets that seem to beg "I can't take this tension any more, let me burst open".

Nice dress. Always ready to do their part for the GD of luxembourg. css
ReplyDeleteGood to see Amalia coming along with his Dad. Growing fast to become a pretty young girl, a spitting image of her Mum! Fresh summer look for Stephanie, she’s beaming, motherhood suits her well 🙂
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty and cool summer dress, the colors are lovely. Stephanie looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI like the dress, although I'm not that much into flower patterns. She might pair it with shoes in a lighter colour, though. On the whole she looks very good.
