I love this color on Catherine, she is really making a statement with this outfit.
ReplyDeleteA pair of flats and a belt in any other colour than white would have made this a great look, but now to me this beautiful pantsuit doesn't look attractive
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly.
DeleteThere certainly is a lot of pink happening among the European royal houses this Spring.
ReplyDeleteI like Catherine's tone on tone ensemble (smart and stylish McQueen, of course) but I'm not so convinced about pairing with the stiletto pumps (nice as they are), nor the white colour. I'd have preferred a lower heeled shoe (so as not to look so 'stilty' given the drainpipe trousers), in either white or better still, in the same pink tone as the suit for a pleasingly synonymous look. That notwithstanding, she still looks good.

This is a rare miss for me. I like the suit itself and hope it gets a second chance one day - maybe with a simple white t-shirt/blouse and sneakers? Or heels, but in a stronger, contrasting colour? I think this styling is off - the belt looks somewhat outdated and tacky, and so do the white shoes - bordering Barbie territory. Not a fan.

Agree !!

DeleteTotally agree!
DeleteWow. This is much more than a perfect suit in a lovely colour. Everything spells perfection. The belt, the earrings, makeup, hair and even her white shoes. Love this.
ReplyDeleteSo do I ! Perfection re-invented with this maybe unusual pairing of accessories. I love it. A generation ditch appearing from some comments.
DeleteI also think this is perfection. Pink is having a moment right now, and I'm so glad she has hopped on the train with this beautiful look!
DeleteChel
Woow … perfectly no no.
DeleteWhat a very lovely colour!
ReplyDeleteI find those white stiletto shoes and white belt with tight ankle length trousers just awful. I am prejudiced since I dislike white leather shoes most of the time anyway, but I think here it just looks tacky. The pink suit is quite nice but the whole effect looks to me like she is just trying too hard. I often feel that the way she dressed before her marriage was so much more her real self and just suited her much better.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeleteExactly. - Siri
DeleteSpot on, well said Nalerina 👍
DeleteShe’s invested in quite a few beautiful pieces by McQueen, and this suit is particularly good. Fit and colour are excellent. My only very minor quibble is her choice of shoes…always high heels…why not experiment with some lower ones, maybe kitten heels or block heels, or even loafers. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteThis is as good as a trouser suit gets imo. I think a contrasting blouse, perhaps black or navy might have been even better but it’s a great look for the Princess
ReplyDeleteAnnieM
No AnnieM, contrasting blouse is not fashion these days. Look at Queen Maxima she wears the monochromatic look since more than one season. White shoes were in again last summer but now they seem to disappear. Shoes in the same pink as the outfit would be wonderful.
DeleteShe looks AWESOME in this outfit!! LOVE the color!! Well done!!
ReplyDeleteYes
DeleteTrès délicate cette couleur rose pâle mais son look aurait été contrasté avec un haut plus foncé ; j'aime beaucoup ses chaussures blanches mais pas du tout le style de sa ceinture !
ReplyDeleteGreat colour of the suit but the white belt and the shoes ruin the look …
DeleteGreat look. Color looks fantastic on her, css
ReplyDeleteDitch those white pumps and this is one spectacular look for Catherine. Had she chosen perhaps a navy blouse she could have used navy pumps.
ReplyDeleteJanet
That is old fashion what you propose Janet. The monochromatic look is in and lower heels too.
DeleteThis is a splendid trouser suit, I love the design and fit, perfect. The pale pink blouse is a nice change. I love her shoes and belt, nice. The earrings are divine. She looks very stylish and elegant.
ReplyDeletePerfect suit, alas the belt and white shoes ruin the look for me, another color and it would have been a beautiful spring choice.
ReplyDeleteLuna
I think the same re the belt and shoes! Pity.
DeleteI love the belt. It's tacky, yes, but at least she tried to add some interest to what's just a nice, serviceable suit. Cinci
ReplyDeleteI agree
DeleteEverything was good except that thick white belt.
ReplyDeleteSame thought here for me
DeleteThe jacket and trousers look good;the cami top has too deep a v ;and looks cheap. Like the pearl belt;I am not sure about the heels, she is tall anyway;more an evening shoe rather than pantsuit ;otherwise nice (Tara)
ReplyDeleteOff course spotless and beautiful suit, but….. white shoes and belt, hmm, too high heels too. Next time with different accessories I think I will be won over.
ReplyDeleteMabel
Kate always looks polished, as she did today, but when compared to other European royals, her outfits lean a bit boring and dowdy. Queens Maxima, Mary, Raina, Letizia, etc. are much more modern and fashion forward. Kate is younger and has the height and figure of a model, so I would love to see more personality in her wardrobe. For example, I would love to see the off-shoulder Barbara Casasola off-white dress again…fresh, beautiful, and pure fashion!
ReplyDeleteCatherine has her own style why should she copy the other Royals. I love her
DeleteClassic styled outfits.
@Anon 08:17 : 100% agree with you! Glad you have open mind and think outside the box. Kate would look fab in any outfit, but unfortunately same boring monochrome style when she’s the youngest of all royals.
DeleteSR
Re @Anon 08:17: She has the figure of a model, therefore she would show more personality if she dressed like a model? No logic in this, models should not show any personality, the contrary is in their job description, they are clothes' horses. Catherine's job description, on the other hand is not to show "pure fashion" but to represent something larger than her person and besides that, it is possible to show her own personality, which she perfectly does. If somebody does not like it - that's completely OK, but comparisons with what models do and show are, I think, not really appropriate for the Princess of Wales.

I agree with all who dislike the white shoes and belt. With the exception of sneakers, white shoes look cheap to me.
ReplyDeleteSo agree about those white stilettos. Can’t think of anything they work with, or anyone they work on. The sherbet pink colour suits her.

I like almost everything about it. Maybe, just maybe, the white stiletto pumps are a weighing in a bit too much. I would have loved to see her in some sort of slingback perhaps with a slightly lower heel. The rest is just to die for, and yes, I mean the belt, too!
ReplyDeleteI love her top, at least as much as I hate blouses with collars or a bow under a jacket, constantly interfering with it. Here is perfect harmony between jacket and top, lovely! - Agree with those who don't like stilettos with this type of trousers and also with those who would like to see less high heels. Personally, I don't have a problem with the colour white for shoes, a colour like any other and it fits her suit well.
ReplyDelete(Gloria)
I find that this suite looked amazing on her. What a beautiful tone with her complexion. I think the belt and shoes looks great. I am not sure I understand why it is not a fit. The white and touch of gold works well. Big win for me.
ReplyDeleteI support you.
Deleteshes too 80s secretary with her clothes most of the time!!
ReplyDelete😂😂 brilliant ! Well said, and so so true!
DeleteAnna
she does not look well put together she needs to do something about that messy hair
ReplyDeleteOoops … don’t touch The hair! 😱 sensitive topic! It will quickly heat up this blog by her fans!
DeleteSoph’
Just, wow. Lovely outfit on the princess of wales.
ReplyDeleteT
I much preferred the first outing of this exquisite AMcQ suit. She wore it with a simple cream vest top, and dusty pink shoes. It all came together that day. The belt and the white shoes let it down this time. But kudos for PoW trying something new. Bea
ReplyDeleteElegant, classy, beautiful, both about the outfit and Catherine. Agnes
ReplyDeleteFans in this blog always put her on the pedestal and over rate her in my opinion. No doubt she is a good looking woman, but nothing fabulous and it’s far from perfect …
