On May 18, 2023, Queen Camilla opened new school library of Shirehampton Primary School in Bristol, as part of the initiative "Coronation Libraries". This became the Queen's first solo engagement since the Coronation.

The initiative was thus launched in Bristol in celebration of the Coronation of the King and Queen, and will include 50 libraries and reading spaces which will be established by the National Literacy Trust in 2023 and 2024 especially for communities across the United Kingdom with low levels of literacy.

The initiative will work in collaboration with Primary School Library Alliance partners, including Bloomberg. The Coronation Libraries project has been created because of the role that Queen Camilla has played in supporting literacy projects and encouraging young people to read more from a young age.

This is a good, functional, working style day dress and Camilla has worn it before, but for me this time round, It's her shoes that have my attention. They're very nice on her.

Wrinkled cleavage should not be shown to young children, nor should any type of cleavage. Nice print of dress, thought we've seen it before. Clare

This comment is disrespectful and sounds as if we were still in the Middle Ages. I mean should she wear high collar dresses not to offend you?!? Please be a bit more tolerant. Just a tiny little bit. Do you really think kids suffer from any mental issues because of some cleavage? How should kids have a healthy relationship to their body when people have such an outdated opinion like yours. With all respect. I.P.

Wrinkled cleavage should not be shown to children??? I don't see her showing any cleavage, wrinkled or otherwise, but even if she did, do you think children of that age would even care? The comments on this board get more and more bizarre.

Its a normal sign of passing livetime happening to everybody every day. The queen carries it and herself with dignity.

This comment disturbs me. Mainly because you think having her top buttons open is inappropriate around children. As if she were wearing a sheer, naval and nipple baring top here. It's her upple chest, not her heaving cleavage. And then there is the aging comment. The fact that women can't age gracefully. Just pfshh.

I spy wrinkled cleavage in photos five and six. And its there when ever she bends over, due to the cut of the dress. Clare has it right, Camilla could have worn a different outfit.

It must be my ageing eyesight but I’m not seeing a low cut dress or any cleavage. At 75, it’s unlikely, without cosmetic procedures that neck, chest, arms, face will be free of wrinkles. It’s a nice dress which suits Queen Camilla very well

And breasts shouldn' t be shown to babies while breastfeeding lest they develop some nightmares when they grow up?

Why is she wearing those big shoulder pads in almost all her outfits. It makes her broader than she is. In this dress the shoulder pads look even thicker than in the pale blue she wore yesterday. I agree with anonymous 15:53, she'd better choose a different neckline.

  4. Elégante robe-chemisier sur laquelle je crois voir une variété de plumes d'oiseaux sur fond bleu-marine ; Camilla l'a déjà portée ; ravie de voir ces chaussures marron foncé à gros talon qui doivent être confortables !

If your critique is for wearing the same dress and wrinkled cleavage then you need to get out more. Maybe appreciate the good that came of the visit and applaud that instead.

I think the post about not showing cleavage to young children is proper. I have said the same thing about other royals that wear low cut blouses to children's events. Those two who think it was wrong to post, need to get out more. The world is crazy enough without the freedom to express one's opinion, pro or con.

Q.Camilla looks better with more vivid colours. The beige in the pattern combines not good with her light hair.
    À good daily dress though,

  7. Her trusted feather print dress. Question to Clare: why would you hide your wrinkles (yes, I know you meant the chest area; I got that one) from schoolkids? Don't many of their grandmas have that sort of skin, too? The queen's exposure of skin in that area is not indecent, it is absolutely natural. Nothing to hide or to be ashamed of at the age of almost 76. Kids should of course see how people of a certain age look, it is part of the circle of life.

If some think Camilla should not show her wrinkles (which is a disrespectful comment) would you also say the lady in the green dress should not show her body and above all pose with her knees exposed to kids. Uiui. Will they have a nightmare? Or can we focus on fashion again and stop bodyshaming.

  10. This is a lovely and serviceable dress great for this visit and occasion. The children must have been thrilled that the Queen paid a visit, good job!

“Wrinkles” or not (remember, English isn’t everyone’s first language) - I still don’t like the cut of the collar area. Seems like the tailor d coded to try something different, but it came out just weird.

She is fine for her age, nicer been a beauty like Diana, but as she nears eight decades, especially since she isn’t into botox or fillers, we shouldn’t expect anything but wrinkles.

This is not cleavage for heaven sakes. I would rather see this than the clingy fabric that accentuates two orbs.

This is an adequate enough dress but I can't help but think she dresses like my Granny. I can't say that about any of the other older Queens like Sonia or Silvia. Does that make her more relatable? Yes....But give me crazy Maxima any day of the week! Cinci

What a wonderful outing for the Queen! Love that she chose to wear her feather dress--perfect for a literary event since there are quill pen type feathers. She always loves to be with children and it shows--her smiles and twinkling eyes say it all. Nice, comfortable dress (much needed worn on a visit with children), love the shoes, and her best accessory is her obvious warmth.

Queen Camilla has appropriate and nice clothes for this event (visiting nursery school). My mother is the same age as Camilla, has the same figure, and I have already recommended Camilla to her as an inspiration.
But the other ladies in the photo in the company of Camilly - that's a complete bad taste in fashion. I'm sorry if my words seem bold, but I'm used to speaking directly without twisting. The lady in the pink coat has a nice smile, but her outfit is an absolute fashion horror. From my point of view, I also rate a lady in a purple jacket and a long black dress with white flowers as bad taste. Bad choice, ladies.

It is possible to speak boldly without being unkind. Often photographs show mistakes that we don’t always see in the mirror. Be kind to those who may not have the best sense of fashion in your opinion.

I like Camilla's dress and shoes; the makeup looks good, she needs a scarf I hear that she is not very well and the Coronation took a lot out of her. She might be the queen; but nobody is going to curtsy to her as noted at the Coronation.(Tabby)
