Princess Alexia completed the final International Baccalaureate exams at the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales. To celebrate the end of the exam period, The UWC Atlantic traditionally holds a Leavers Ceremony. This year, the ceremony took place on May 20.
The RVD released a new photo that shows Princess Alexia alongside her parents King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, taken during the leavers ceremony in Wales.
MAX MARA Ombre Pleated Midi Skirt
Magnifique Maxima dans cette jupe plissée ombrée ; que porte t-elle comme haut ? Alexia est vêtue d'un ensemble en lin qui bien sûr a l'air de se froisser et le décolleté ??
ReplyDeleteAlexia's linnen pantsuit is nice. It suits a schoolgirl. On the pictures the colours of jacket and skirt of QM don't match at all. And please other shoes (not open), esp. when yr toes could better be out of sight ( sorry)
ReplyDelete@Anonymour 09:34. How can the colors not match since the dark brown of the jacket is repeated in the skirt ? Well I prefer to look at Queen Maxima's toes, which look quite normal to me, than to the decolleté of an older woman.
DeleteI agree with you. Those shoes must be very uncomfortable and painful. Just look at that crushed 5th toe and the joint sticking out above. RH
DeleteProud parents. I quite like Maxima's outfit, I am not so sure about Alexia's top under her blazer.

Oh Dear lets hpe queen Maxima mislays her shoes and skirt on the way home. The jacket is Meh! but can stay. The princess looks very sweet but linen is such a crease disaster if you have to sit still for a long time anywhere it agrravates the already prevalent crease tendency of linen.
ReplyDeleteWell, these are proud parents there to celebrate their child and not to be fashion perfect, so what I love is that both parents have dressed fairly neutrally to just fit in and not stand out. Context is everything. - AnnaLise
Delete@AnnaLise: I agree 100%!
DeleteThey are there as proud parents, as private citizens, supporting their daughter, not as a King and Queen on an official engagement. 99% of the people in Wales wouldn't know or care who they are - and why would they anyway? Max and WA fit in like all the other parents present at the graduation, and it's obvious that was exactly their intention.

Agree with AnnaLise. This is not a fashion show but a happy family event. The focus is not on the King or Queen but the students. The parents coming over to share the joy and success with their child, leaving cert / baccalaureate is an important achievement and joy for anyone, royals or not…

Love the white linen suit!
ReplyDeleteDonot love Máxima’s shoes, which make ugly feet and ankles.
The skirt could be nice with a short white top.
Mabel
Alexia, please improve your posture by holding your head straight. Cleavage is a bit deep, IMV. The rest is fine for the event.
ReplyDeleteAren’t you the picky on!!
DeleteOh come on MaryT 🤦🏼♀️ …seriously?
DeletePlease leave the girl alone to enjoy these happy moments with her family and friends … She is not ‘on duty’ ….
Claire
I don’t like brown colours in spring !!
ReplyDelete🙄!!
Delete@ Anonymous. 18:31 There are no seasons for colors any more. Black during summer is quite normal. Pink during winter too. Besides Queen Maxima is often ahead to the rest of us what concerns her clothes. I bet we'll see more dark brown by the time autumn and winter are arriving again.
DeleteCongratulations to Pss Alexia well done, she looks happy and rightly so. Her proud parents are delighted and proud of her as it should be, wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAmalia's top looks so cheap stylewise with the deep decollete. And don't say that she is still young, after all she is a royal plus a person at every age can be decent.
ReplyDeleteThis year passed fast. I like her white suit. A pic with the proud parents. css
ReplyDeleteWell done to the young lady Alexia 🥳 happy moments for all students and their proud parents!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pics!
I will say that generally Maxima’s fashion choices aren’t my favorites, but OMG!! How petty some of these comments are. She looks fine, like a regular mom, nothing crazy, just a day outfit for a graduation, and she had the good sense not to dress like a she does when she is “queening “ . Alexia looks fantastic, congratulations !!
ReplyDeleteCherry
Poor choice of outfits for mother and daughter. But they look happy, so congratulations!
ReplyDeletewon't ever understand why amalia wasn't given the chance/or did not want it to get this experience, outside these really small NL, less/no press intrusion, gathering with her peergroup and growing in selfconfidence but also competing with others. alexia seems happy, welldone. don't care about their clothes, it's a private event though.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she didn't pass the entrance requirements?
DeleteCovid may have affected the plans as well. Most probably we will never know and it's not our business either./Grace
