King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are on a 2-day regional visit to the Wadden Islands. On the 2nd day of their visit, the King and Queen visited the islands Ameland and Schiermonnikoog. The royal couple visited the Willem Barentsz Maritime Institute, where they recieved information about the education program and various ship simulators, and spoke with teachers and students about the importance of maritime education.
Yesterday evening, the King and Queen attended a performance by Tryat that was given as part of the Oerol Festival held on the island every June. In the 3rd week of June, Terschelling will be a stage for theater makers, musicians and visual artists from the Netherlands and abroad for 10 days at various locations on the entire island.
The yellow suit looks great on Maxima although trousers again too long. But the yellow coat just hanging loose around her shoulders is just too much yellow and too much fabrick
ReplyDeleteThe yellow outfit is fine, but the "hat" is a bit strange. It looks as if a dead bird or something similar is sitting on her head.
ReplyDeletePauline
Lol. Dead bird🤣
DeleteBut her outfit is good, perhaps the trousers were tailored for her to wear higher heels. The coat can go, not sure if it was cold enough for the coat.
Oh dear, she's in a totally mustardy frame of mind and outfit. UGGG. I know she wants to be seen, but too much is too much.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100%
DeleteShe actually looks very nice today even with the coat as cape fobia of hers. one exception though for the dead sea urchin caught in a fishing net arrangement on her head.Must be a nod to the islands of Schiermonnikoog and Ameland.
ReplyDeleteHer smile lets her get away with anything for me. The weather is/was pretty miserable here for the last few days so that flashing sunshiny yellow really brightens things up a bit
If she had a phobia she wouldn't be doing it.
DeleteMaxima devrait arrêter ces bibis dans les cheveux lorsqu'elle fait ce style de visite dans son pays, simples. Less is more comme ont dit. Son style est trop lourd, trop de bisjoux, de décorations dans les cheveux, des couleurs trop lourdes.
ReplyDeleteVery good suit for this working visit. The coat is too much as well as this silly headpiece
ReplyDeleteSuit, coat and headpiece: Silly and very ugly
DeleteUne couleur jaune qui flashe ; elle se combine avec le noir de son haut et de ses accessoires. Je ne vois pas bien ce qu'elle porte sur la tête ?!
ReplyDeleteI like that Queen Maxima is mixing a very colourful and not too outrageously expensive suit (Zara) with a very pricey crocodile clutch (Marcela Calvet). Too bad we don't get to see the shoes!

ReplyDeleteHello, I really like that Queen Maxima is combining a very pricey crocodile clutch (Marcela Calvet), with a colourful and elegant suit that is not outrageously expensive (Zara). She's never afraid to try different things.
ReplyDeleteI can live with the mustard suit -- she can wear it ok. But switch out the coat for a camel or ivory color.
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely, the pantsuit is splendid.
ReplyDeleteThe Zara suit is nice but the coat in mustard yellow is overkill--a neutral coat would have been so much better. The facinator should have been left at home as it is ridiculous looking. Perhaps she feels she needs to wear a headpiece when on tour but this is not a good choice. I really like the beige or cream outfit she wore to the evening event yesterday.
ReplyDeleteJanet
Wonder why she keeps on putting these funny things on her head…..the other day it looked like headphones or something like that and this time I find it hard to figure out what it’s meant to be! A
ReplyDeleteOh no Queen M. Clashing shades of yellow. Bell bottom trousers that drag on the ground. Weird headpiece.
ReplyDeleteHideous !
King W-A looks dapper in well cut and properly fitting suit.
Classic look. He saves the day.
Entire outfit is a mistake.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100000000%
DeleteCome colore preferisco l'outfit bianco, unica foto e quel poco che vedo.

ReplyDeleteHer phobia is for the putting her arms into the sleeves whch she does sometimes manage to do.
Re: the “thing” on Maxima’s head which many bloggers are making negative comments on.
ReplyDeleteMaxima wore a similar headpiece (a bibi) a couple of days ago when she visited the Wadden Islands with the King.
I made a comment on that occasion that I thought it could be to cover (to disguise) the join where she has had extensions done to give her hair volume and length.
Again with her visit today, you can now see she has long hair and partly put up in a ponytail. I think the head piece is to cover where the join is.
If this is the case then she is wearing a half wig.
There is another name for a half wig, but for the moment I can’t recall what it is called.. Perhaps a ‘toupee’?

DeleteJe ne vais pas trop m'avancer en disant que c'est un postiche ; cela peut être synonyme ?!
Dear @flower 33
DeleteThanks for your contribution.
Whatever, it is a great improvement on her usual “shabby-chic” hairstyle/s.
Maxima is challenging the ridiculous here, and strange enough, it is still flattering.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the yellow coulor is too harsh, the combination with black buttons making it harsher, the coat over the shoulders: nonsense, and the thing in her hair : a birds nest:
She still makes a joyfull impression!
