On the evening of May 3, 2023, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain held a Gala dinner at Madrid Royal Palace in honour of Colombian President Gustavo Petro and Colombian First Lady Veronica Alcocer who are making a state visit to Spain. Colombian President Gustavo Petro and his wife Veronica Alcocer are making a two-day State Visit to Spain.
Red is definitely QLeti's color. She looks amazing here. But she could have used a stronger lip color.
ReplyDeleteI find the blue dress of Veronica beautiful and she wears it very well. A very beautiful woman. Letitia looks like always great but I think the sleeves of the dress are not nice.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you, the sleeves of the gown look too sporty for an evening gown, and the blue gown Veronica is wearing is exceptionally lovely.
DeleteAn updo will be better.
ReplyDeleteAgree !! This looks childish
DeleteShe did it again!
ReplyDeleteLovely girlish dress in good combination with the joyfull tiara,
Mabel
Girlish? Please…
DeleteBoth ladies look so lovely. Love the colors and styles for both of the dresses. Queen Letizia's hair start to look the same all the time, even for the evening and tiara appearances. Miss old times when Letizia's hairstyles were fun and inspiriring to watch.

It is not a tiara, It is a diadem, Colombia is a Republic so in Spain tiaras are not worn. It can be transformed into a necklace.
DeleteQL Gorgeous in one word. I love the way she wears her crown like a hair diadem. The wife of the Columbian president looks terrific as well. The colour and model is almost a copy of the dress with cape QMaxima was wearing when Willem Alexander was installed as king of the Netherlands.
ReplyDeleteColumbia?? It looks like a rocket, the name of the country is Colombia.
DeleteI donˋt understand ‚her crown like a hair diadem‘
DeleteA crown? There are no crowns in Spain, the King actually has no one.
DeleteAgree, the blue dress reminded me also of Maxima's dress that time. It is really elegant. Letizia is looking great too, just wish she had worn her hair in an updo. That would have been perfection.
DeleteThis red gown is superb, watching the Queen walk, (You tube) the gown glided along, simply stunning. The color is gorgeous and suits her beautifully. The floral tiara and diamond bow brooch are wonderful additions. The simple diamond earrings were all that was needed. The First lady looks fabulous. The Royal blue caped gown looks divine, a very good fit. The caped sleeves sit well. This gown is very well crafted, some of the caped gowns I have seen of recent times have not been really polished and perfectly crafted, to me this one is. A beautiful presentation by the First Lady.
ReplyDeleteYou said it so well. I totally agree. Ladyofthem, anor
DeleteAbsolutely agree. The First Lady's gown is fantastic, perfectly tailored and constructed. She looks beautiful. And as for Queen Letizia, just wow. Always gorgeous in red.

First Lady Veronica Alcocer ... I like her dress very much ... style and colour, she looks really good ...
ReplyDeleteUn diadème floral tout en légèreté qui se porte très bien sur les cheveux lâchés de la reine ; j'adore la voir vêtue de rouge !
ReplyDeleteA bit disappointed to see that Señor Petro could not be bothered with wearing proper white tie.
ReplyDeleteShe did not want to do It, but he travels on a Rolls Royce.
DeleteThe First Lady looks great. the Queen looks like a girl.
ReplyDeleteWhy?
DeleteShe looks like a girl???
DeleteNo. She looks young and youthful, and smart and attractive, and most importantly, she doesn't look like she's trying too hard to be something that she is not.
Many would envy her to look as she does at her age, except perhaps for some women who are much older than she is and past any hope of looking like QL does.

I think this is a good look for the occasion. It's formal, but the short floaty sleeves of the dress combined with her simple hairstyle give it a slightly more relaxed vibe. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love The Queen’s dress, she found the perfect outfit for a gala dinner that for diplomatic reasons couldn’t be excessive. The tiara can be converted into a diadem or a choker, and worn this way it has the perfect amount of bling. I also like Mrs. Alcocer’s dress very much, the color and fit are spectacular, although I have to say that these caped dressed are becoming a tad boring .
ReplyDeleteCherry
No hay capa, Cherry, son las mangas. Mira la foto 2.
DeleteI was trying to explain this the other day, but the moderator didn't allow it.
DeleteLet’s looks fantastic in red as always but her hair seems too flat for the tiara. The Colombian First Lady looks smashing in her gown…the cobalt blue and style is gorgeous in its simplicity.
ReplyDeleteIt is a diadem, she can't wear a tiara when the other country is a Republic, you can see her visit in Germany, she wore nothing. Spanish diplomacy.
DeleteWe only get a glimpse of Letizia´s shoes but they seem to be killer heels on top of platform soles. I´ve never seen this "tall" next to her husband - in flat shoes she only reaches his shoulder height. Gorgeous red dress in any case. She seems to have needed the extra height as shortening the hem would have been tragic.
ReplyDeleteThe blue dress is also beautiful but I still think that caped gowns are overdone.
Her husband is 1,97, almost 2 metres tall, everyone only reaches his shoulder height.
Delete@Vanessa. QL is indeed wearing platform soles. If it was QMaxima (or P Laurentien) you could hear the haters from here until Tokio.
DeleteHRH, the QUEEN, so lovely as ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth Ladie look stunning. josebabe
ReplyDeleteThe president's wife is really stylish. Both the day- and the evening look are great 👌🏻
