On May 28, 2023, Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and his daughter Princess Aiko attended the Spring Gagaku Concert at Imperial Palace in Tokyo. Gagaku (elegant music) is Japanese classical music created to accompany the ceremonial worship rituals of the Imperial court. Gagaku is performed at several court functions at the Imperial Palace, and on the occasion of the Spring and Autumn Garden Parties.
So very nice to see the Princess attend an event with her father!
ReplyDeleteThe style of outfit is the usual code uniform by the IHA, but I love the pale sage colour.
I hope we get to see more of her attendance at future public events, as well as with her lovely mother.

Agree with you and the color is beautiful. Ladyofthemanor
DeleteWearing silk and pearls.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see father and daughter together at an event! Aiko looks marvelous in the pale green she is wearing and her pearls are gorgeous.

A lovely combination. This light sage color is very pretty. Father and daughter, nice!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteHope it's not too long before thay can stop wearing masks.
There is a new major covid-19-outbreak in china, that could be the reason. e.

C'est un vrai régal que de voir la princesse Aiko en compagnie de son père ; très rafraîchissante la couleur anis pâle de l'association robe/veste en soie ; délicate sa petite broche en perles !
ReplyDeleteLovely princess.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color on Princess Aiko. But I am not a fan of the jacket. Such a tailored collar would suit her mother well, but a young style would suit her.
ReplyDeleteEmperor Naruhito looks happy with his daughter. Maybe he will also order a tiara for Aiko with their extra funds, as the previous Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko did for their daughter Sayako. Because their budget is larger than the sum of all the other families, it is the large budget appropriate for The Emperor of Japan and his family.
The budgets are all paid with public funds in equal amounts each year. Their Majesties have refrained from their many activities for the past few years. The leftover funds will be enough. Now is the time to use it for Princess Aiko and her tiara. It is necessary for court ceremonies or banquets.
He can't host state guests at banquets wearing masks, though.
Although she is lovely and looks like a friendly princess, I cannot repeat eternally what I think of her outfits. Since this is a fashion blog and there is no fashion here to talk about, I'll leave.
ReplyDeleteLovely suit in spring color along with the pearls is superb. It would be nice to see her in a younger style, but that is the Japanese royal custom, to all dress basically the same. What I really enjoyed was to see her smile exuding from beneath her mask. Agnes
ReplyDeletePss Aiko must be filling in for Mom? Lovely pastel outfit. I wish they would stop wearing the mask's now. css
