King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are making a two-day regional visit to the Wadden Islands between May 9 and 10. The King and Queen will visit the islands of Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog. On the first day of their visit, King and Queen visited Beach Pavilion Paal, and Museum Kaap Skil in Texel. The King and Queen also visited the De Waddel sheep farm in Hoge Berg.
DeleteMaxima looks nice, but in this case, Wellies would have been OK for this visit. It seems to be raining everywhere. I don't think the sheep would have cared. css
ReplyDeleteI agree. In general you must see her hat as the replacement of a crown. But in the Netherlands we don't have a coronation but an inauguration. And according to the constitution one king/queen. Maxima is the queen consort.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks nice, the weather was against them, but she was happy and engaging.
ReplyDeleteI think her little hat may be to cover the join where Maxima has had extensions done to give her hair volume.
ReplyDeleteEven with the weather against them, Maxima still had her endless smile working at full speed.
I don’t like this look. The coat doesn’t fit the rest of her outfit, which is also out of place for this kind of country visit. Again overdressed.
