On April 13, 2023, Queen Letizia of Spain attended the proclamation of the winners and the award ceremony of the "The Princess of Girona Foundation Award 2023" (FPdGi) at the Great Theater of Cordoba on the first day of the "Tour of the Talent" (Tour del Talento) event taking place in Cordoba between 13 and 19 April. The Queen presented the awards in the "Arts and Letters" category.
Tour del Talento is a new movement organized by The Princess of Girona Foundation and carried out by young people. For seven days, more than 50 events are being organized, including forums, 'talent sessions' and a top-level cultural program in the city for the weekend. The event aims to promote and connect young talents.
Cayro Violeta Dress
Very nice dress, it suits her well, she looks good in it.
ReplyDeletePauline
Quelle belle robe aux couleurs chatoyantes ainsi que les boucles d'oreilles !
ReplyDeleteHey,my mom's dress...from 1980. I'm on the fence about this one. Curious to read other comments
ReplyDeleteLuna
Pues se ve que tu madre tenÃa el mismo buen gusto de la reina
DeleteYou are not the only one.
DeleteWow again!
ReplyDeleteThis time in joyfull spring-colours.
The short sleeves are beautiful.
Mabel
Very pretty dress. Nice colors and I am happy to see the small florals are being replaced with larger prints. The 80s style sleeves ar at least a bit moderat in size.
ReplyDeleteLadyofthemanor
That looks like straight from 1982.
ReplyDelete1980's fashion, recycled yet again. I've often wondered, why does the Queen cross her arms so much? In many cultures this is a sign of disregard for the person or people you are communicating with. It could also be a sign of 'stay away' or protecting her inner self from the event she is engaged with at any given time. Could also mean she is chilly. She is very thin so maybe she is more affected by cold, cool, windy weather, though that wouldnt make sense when she is in a building watching a performance with her arms crossed. Something to think about.
ReplyDeleteI think you are reading to much in the arms crossing comment. Many people who are on center stage do not know what to do with their hands or arms. Each one of the photos of her is different but not standoffish to me!
DeleteI think it is rude to cross your arms when in a public position. It shows a sign of disrespect.
Delete@Anonymouus, something to think about? Nah!!! I come to this site to enjoy the fashion comments and to read the difference of opinions about colors, shapes, trends, etc., nowadays there are a bunch of charlatans that actually get invited to gossip shows and even collaborate with silly articles about “ The body language “ of public persons. Nope I don’t buy into their endless personality assessments.
DeleteCherry
@19:49 This comment should be deleted. Beside the pseudo fashion comment thrown in at the beginning, it is nothing more than a cheap hit piece full of body language psychobabble and also cleverly includes the all the character damaging tropes that have been used over the last twenty years such as cold, rude, and of course the body shaming 'thin'.
DeleteSomehow other members of the 'family' are above reproach for doing the same things.
Some blogs are sustained by negativity. This one has existed for years without it. Thank you.
Eve.
ReplyDeleteSimple, plain, ordinary looking, working day dress, with pretty Spring colours. That's about it, really.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13
What a sunshiney dress. She looks fab (in almost anything!). What is less positive is the photo where she has many arms grabbing her at once and many phones filming her closeup at once … but she looks totally relaxed and happy. Lovely! - Gemma.
ReplyDeleteIl vestito è molto carino, però mi sembra un po’ troppo estivo.
ReplyDeleteRossella
30C in Córdoba, where she was, already. South of Spain...in summer they reach 45C..
Delete@ Scarlett. Please, google Cordoba to get an idea of the culture and colorful surrounds of the area. Also, look at how the people in the crowd are dressed. By now we should have observed that the queen tries to include some aspect of the region, the event, or the weather in her choice of clothing.

ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty dress. The design of the dress is good, the fit and length I like but the pattern on the fabric is too much but that is my personal taste, the Queen looks beautiful wearing this dress. I love the pink accessories.
ReplyDeletePretty spring dress! She looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteColourful and cheerful dress … but agree with you all re the 80s wardrobe 😅
ReplyDeleteFlashback to the 80's, but it looks fantastic on her. The spring colors are so pretty. Love the pink shoes.
ReplyDeleteChel
Quite different from the Queen’s usual dresses but a real winner. Love the bright spring colours and the overall style of the dress. She looks youthful and joyful
ReplyDeleteAnnieM
I agree. I couldn't have said it any better.
DeleteThis dress reminds me of another dress Princess Diana wore in the eighties
ReplyDeleteThis one perhaps? https://www.usmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Princess-Diana-Caring-Nature-Informed-Her-Outfit-Choices-Promo.jpg?quality=40&strip=all
DeleteMy first thought was "spring's here!" My second thought was "My mum owned this dress 40 years ago" :D But I guess that just means my mum was a proper fashionista, because it's a pretty dress that suits Letizia really well. If anyone can pull off those oversize shoulders, it's her!
ReplyDelete-Nika-
A diferencia de otros conjuntos de vestir, a mi entender, este tipo de vestido, desprende un aire de dulzura, que no siempre es propio de ella, ya que muchas veces y no por eso menos acertados, viste conjuntos, con tonos fuertes y llamativos.
ReplyDeleteNice-looking dress yet I can't help but think she has tons of others, why a new one? It's high time we all think about the environmental footprint of everything we consume. Besides, the material, as I read from the company's website, is all polyester/spandex. Even high-quality polyester/modal etc. feels worse on the skin compared to linen and cotton. Really, why?
ReplyDeleteBecause when royals wear linen and cotton, their clothes get wrinkled. The unforgiving and unknowledgeable critics here and elsewhere go on and on about how sloppy they look. Forgive them when they decide to go with fabrics that hold up better in public. There is no way to please everyone.
DeleteSpanish brands, made in Spain, people need to eat, probably you have a car, and lots of electric things, do Amish, please and make your own clothes or shut Up.
DeleteThen we have to assume that among the tens of other similar and even better dresses she has, none of them are of polyester, so she desperately needed this one to avoid being criticized for looking sloppy. The material of a clothing is important in terms that a cotton t-shirt decomposes for 6 months while polyester decomposes for 500-700 years or never.
DeleteFor the environment, another polyester dress is by far not the same as another cotton dress.
Not to mention that some of the most admirable dresses that I've seen on her were natural fabrics and on photos never seemed to look sloppy.
No, she wears her dresses over than 5 -7 times even from 2014, however she is so clever that you can notice It and you think they are new.
DeleteWhy is @Anon 8:54 allowed to be so aggressive and tell other posters to shut up? Why can't people learn how to disagree instead of trying to silence anyone who has a different viewpoint? It's intolerant, rude and unnecessary.
DeleteSpring is in the air. Very lovely dress. css
ReplyDelete@9:33 Why does she deserve this preachy sermon from your sustainability pulpit and not the others? Clothes fade, and by your admission show signs of degrading. What about the ones who wear coat dresses costing thousands of pounds
ReplyDeleteDo we read from a different page in the sustainability Bible?
Ana 1
Ooh nice passive aggressive swipe at the Princess of Wales there. Just a thought - clothes that cost thousands of pounds last longer and probably haven't been made in sweatshops where people don't earn a living wage.
Delete@Anonymous 09:33, you aren’t wrong in your assessment that we need to care for our planet, I personally take baby steps, but you come as the kind of Zero Tolerance person, that points its finger to certain personalities, because otherwise you will have to be preaching to almost every post, also you would have to preach at your job, school, every store or venue you visit, because yes, we all are guilty into buying more than we need, and not always the most ecological materials.
ReplyDeleteSo please be kind, and give us a break.
Cherry
YOU must buy too much, I do not do that...ecological? Don't eat, everything is dangerous even cotton, because is It made in your own country? Don't have childen, there are enough in the world, some of them alone.Peaching every post? Are you mad? It is barely the second time I have write here..Who are you?? I have no time to be into a movile, I do ecological things as ride a bicicle...
Delete@23:08 On the other hand, wearing a 5k coatdress or gown once, then warehousing it is wasteful. Harvesting, (assuming the material is natural) dyeing, weaving and transportation do leave a carbon footprint. Let's be serious here. Accusing one person where there is an extensive supply chain when getting a product to market, is taking a little knowledge and applying it selectively. Hypocritical, and unnecessary. Sweep outside your door first.
ReplyDeleteAna 1
Right back atcha sweetcheeks. 😘
DeleteAnonymous @08:44, your comment makes absolutely no sense!
ReplyDeleteI like the dress very fresh, is it poly or silk?
