Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece attended the 2023 Tribeca Ball in New York City. The Tribeca Ball is an annual gala held for the benefit of the New York Academy of Art. Every year, the event is held at the Franklin Street building and is an important fundraiser for the Academy. This year’s fundraising event honored artist Amy Sherald, who is an American painter.
CHLOE Pleated Wool-gauze Blouse
Beautiful outfit. Love the white handbag. The design is youthful.
ReplyDeleteLike the handbag too, bulgari serpenti, very unusual design.

A mon humble avis, ce modèle de blouse plissée conviendrait beaucoup mieux rentrée dans une jupe du même style ; cela donnerait une élégante silhouette comme si elle portait une robe !
ReplyDeleteI don't think that would work since there would be too much material in the hip area. Not sure she would want to give the impression that she is wearing a dress.
DeleteSince there is no longer a monarchy in Greece, I think with his father's (King Constantine II) passing, he only is referred to as "Pavlos of Greece" now. Same applies to Marie-Chantal (of Greece), of course. Otherwise, he would be king after the death of his papa; the title "Crown Prince" is no longer valid.
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteE penso che in un paese dove non esiste più la monarchia “tutti” i titoli nobiliari non valgono, sono di cortesia. Tra l’altro questa famiglia non ha mai vissuto in Grecia, ci ha fatto solo belle vacanze.

When Pavlos was born in 1967,he became crown prince (the eldest son of a reigning monarch). Of course since the abolition of monarchy in Greece "crown prince" is a courtesy title, but he has full right to use it.
DeleteThere is an old agreement between European states which stipulates that any former monarch has right to use his/her old title even when not reigning any more. The agreement was signed in Vienna 1815 when European states arranged their affairs after the fall of Napoleon. (European history is complicated.)
No private (foreign) citizen can change that how angry she/he is about that.

A "crown prince" without a crown...
ReplyDeleteAlthough these couple are not king and queen, I love them. They are humble and genuine
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see this couple. Thanks for the photo.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very lovely outfit. White and black always classy. css
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely outfit, but I wouldn’t pay nearly 2000 euro for a beautiful blouse !!
DeleteThe belt she is wearing, doesn't seem to blend well with the frilly blouse. The hip area seems to add bulk
ReplyDeleteShe looks very elegant in her cream blouse. Has anyone read her book? very well written and very informative.
ReplyDeleteIs that Naomi Watts (Australian actress)in the first photo? If not, that woman bears a striking resemblance. The “Crown Princely” couple look well-dressed and nice for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteWhile she is very beautiful, this frilly top and belt combo looks odd to me. Maybe it's the high placement of the belt or the way it's so bulky tucked in itself. But the top is so floaty, and that belt brings heaviness at that area. But I love the top .

Since permitted to use titles according to convention, surely they are now King & Queen of Greece while their son is now Crown Prince.
