On April 04, 2023, The Duchess of Edinburgh visited the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital in Shropshire to open the Headley Court Veterans' Orthopaedic Centre. The facility includes a therapy room as well as a dedicated hub to support veterans facing mental health issues. The duchess, who is also Colonel in Chief of the Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps, unveiled a plaque to mark the opening.

The blazer is very chic. But I am not sure about the combination with a dark red skirt. A bit strange, imo.

Dark-red or red-brown. The skirt itself looks good too - but not together with this white jacket.
ReplyDeletePauline
It is not the dark red skirt that is the problem imo. It is the choice of accesories. Dark shoes and handbag wether navy or black or very dark red etc.would have just looked much better. If you hold your hand over the shoes and handbag so as not to see them then the red white combo is stunningly elegant and sleek.
DeleteWine red in combination with cream, light beige, (off) white are fashion items this spring and even in the coming summer. All kind of beige, camel even cognac colors for shoes and handbags can be worn with almost everything these days. Designers feel responsible for the sustainability of their creations and reach out to people who engage themselves for the climate issues by buying only one color they can wear with all their outfits and during all the seasons.
DeleteWow the Duchess of Edinburgh looks very elegant here. The white blazer fits perfectly and the wine red skirt or dress maybe ? go well together. The handbag however is too big, a smaller enveloppe, clutch or little shoulder bag would have been better.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly! Beautiful outfit, only the bag is a bit disappointing, a smaller bag would have just made the look outstanding. She is so fresh and looking 10 years younger than her age. Admire her not only for her looks but most importantly for her work and commitment.

Age does not seem to affect her. She looks adorable as always.
ReplyDeleteHas she been on a holiday? She looks so refreshed and glowing. Beautiful earrings, any idea, which brand? e.
ReplyDeleteA true English lady. Always with a smile. The jacket is beautiful, I have a similar one in cream color.

Sophie looks fabulous here! Very simple jacket and skirt or dress, nothing fussy or frilly. Her hair and makeup look good too.
ReplyDeleteJanet
Lovely outfit! Yes the skirt could be shorter, but overall D. Sophie looks polished, professional, and engaged. I hope she bought the matching trousers for the jacket too. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a delightful outfit, well coordinated from top to bottom including the accessories! Professional, chic, and simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteQuelle allure très chic dans ce blazer au boutonnage croisé ; j'adore son association avec cette jupe Bordeaux ou grenat même si elle me semble légèrement trop longue !
ReplyDeleteLove this jacket on her, fabulous. The skirt isn't my favorite, but it's ok. Overall, she looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteChel
Beautiful makeup that really shows her features well. I love the deep red skirt with the white jacket—perfect transitional Spring outfit.
ReplyDeleteShe looks very elegant. A white crisp blazer is always nice, css
ReplyDeleteThe white jacket and red skirt look really lovely, a nice combination. The beige accessories, I am not a fan of. She looks beautiful, lovely makeup.
ReplyDeleteLove to see the title Duchess of Edinburgh. Like the jacket, like the skirt but not sure of the two together. A different colour for shoes and bag might have pulled the outfit together better. Always good to see her.
ReplyDeleteAnnieM
So elegant. She is glowing these days.
ReplyDeleteI love this combination, dark red and white definitely works here, generally she misses the mark sometimes with sizing, but today she look fabulous, I even like the shoes and handbag, not too matchy-matchy

Elegant and sophisticated. The blazer, the dress/skirt underneath, clutch and shoes all work together imo. This works for a royal engagement or in a professional one.
