On April 30, Crown Princess Mary attended a celebratory service held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the ordination of women to the priesthood at Copenhagen Cathedral. In 1948, three Danish women, Johanne Andersen, Ruth Vermehren and Edith Brenneche Petersen, were ordained ordained by Bishop Hans Øllgaard in Odense Cathedral. Denmark thus became the first country in the world to have women priests.
Since then, women have made significant progress in The Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Denmark. In 1995, the first female bishop Lise-Lotte Rebel was elected, and today the majority of priests in the national church are women.
Wie schafft sie das, erst die Reisen, nun wieder zurück and looking gorgeous! e.

DeleteMary looks very nice in this simple but elegant outfit. Very pretty hairstyle too.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great, elegant, always on top.

You can say that again Pauline.
DeleteShe looks a bit tired, normal...
ReplyDeleteJust got back from Pacific and Australia
DeleteKom hjem fra Australien aftenen før....jetlag
DeleteTo Mary T: Could YOU do it after a 5-day-tour to small islands in the Pacific and to Sydney, being accompanied by a Danish minister and business people?

The royals have intensive days. Still, they don't work a full week schedule in addition to doing housework, grocery shopping, cleaning, picking up stuff, administrative tasks like paying bills, taxes etc etc. They have stylists and hair dressers and show up (in this event) for a short moment. So, I think it is manageable.
DeleteThere is something in the material of this dress that does not sit right with me, Standing still, front view as in the last picture it looks very nice so I can't put my finger on what it is that bothers me.
ReplyDeleteLadyofthemanor
Could it be that the belt of the dress is making the dress itself drape differently?
DeleteBeautiful as always!
ReplyDeleteBelle Mary dans cette robe écrue sur laquelle nous voyons une belle broche épinglée; j'aime beaucoup le style de son bandeau qui va à merveille sur ses cheveux ramenés en chignon !
ReplyDeleteYou are so right.

Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec les commentaires de Tulipe33.
DeletePrincess Mary is supremely impressive. She has just returned from an overseas visit halfway around the globe and is present today looking immaculate and charming. Love the fresh, feminine design of the white suit and the golden head ornament.
ReplyDeleteWell said. Totally agree with you
DeleteYes, she represents the Danish crown and country extremely well. Q. Margarethe must be very pleased.

So lovely ... she looks superb ...
ReplyDeleteShe looks so tired. Understandably.
ReplyDeleteCP Mary looks beautiful. This is a very interesting dress. I like the features of the sleeves, adds interest. The brooch is a lovely touch. The color of her accessories are nice. Her up style hair is soft and feminine looking. I can only assume the Princess can catch up on sleep on aircraft, to me she doesn't look jetlagged at all. Fresh and engaging as always.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree she looks lovely.
DeleteAs usual stylish and elegant/ css
ReplyDeleteWoe gorgeous a true princess like the Mary of yester yesr. Mary
ReplyDeleteMary looks marvelous! I have always loved this outfit and she has styled it in so many different ways. Today's choice with the light tan headband, purse, and shoes create a very elegant look. Hard to believe that she is out at an appearance today--she must be able to sleep on a plane and not need to much sleep either--because I would be in bed, sound asleep! But here she is looking beautiful.

Indeed, she looks like a Queen! Perfection from head to shoes! MR
DeleteThis is so beautiful. The hairdo with that ornament is just gorgeous. This is so Mary. - the dresses she wears are often simple and elegant, and the accessories add that extra, which make all the difference. She has and extraordinary sens of what suits her ( or maybe her stylists have…). Anyway, the result is always impeccable.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you say.
DeleteSuch an elegant woman, she has nailed it. Her hair style is just lovey, so soft on her.
ReplyDeleteRefined ( and what a beautiful colourfull bouquet),
ReplyDeleteMabel
One day, but I hope the day is a long, long way away, Princess Mary will take over the title of Queen of Class from Princess Benedikte.
ReplyDeleteShe is wonderful
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Royal, I just love when she speaks in English, her voice is so pleasant and aristocratic, She is the perfect Royal and she does it with Grace and ease and reminds me of how Princess Grace performed in her role, She has a sense of what clothing is perfect for her! Fitzhugh
ReplyDeleteMary has just been in Australia; does she have a clone ,as it would not have been easy to turn around the jet lag. I like the dress and the brooch; the shoes don't seen right. Not sure about the peasant hairstyle ;or is it the grunge look
