King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Christina and Tord Magnuson hosted Crown Princess Margareta of Romania and her husband Prince Radu for lunch at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Princess Margareta is the head of the former Romanian royal house and the eldest child of King Michael I of Romania (1921–2017).

Very elegant and royal Crown Princess Margareta of Romania - she is an amazing stylish princess, classic, beautiful color of suit and very good choice of accessories, she looks amazing, very nice hair style
ReplyDeleteQuel style chez toutes les quatre mais surtout le tailleur/jupe de la princesse Margareta au joli boutonnage doré ; j'adore la couleur de ses cheveux courts mais est-ce naturel ?!
ReplyDeleteI guess it’s as natural as Q Silvia’s. She is a natural redhead though.
DeleteCP Margerita is the most elegant lady here IMV. The queen looks a bit tired and Victoria can do better.
ReplyDeleteIf this is gonna be right her title is Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown not Crown Princess of Romania.
ReplyDelete"Crownprincess" Margaretha, while Romania is a republique since 1947. So this is more a private visit and not an official one since they do not represent their country. But beside that the ladies look all nice in their deux-pièces
ReplyDeleteWell, actually her title correctly is "Her Majesty Margerita of Romania, Custodian of the Romanian Crown", so that's even a tad better than "Crown Princess", isn't it? And that is even with consent of the Romanian Government. Guess what- they also live in a palace in Bucharest. They do also hold public events there on occasion.
DeleteOh nooo. Victoria. You could do so much better. Just take a quick look at your Mum. A
ReplyDeleteExactly. I almost shuddered at how bad she looks. That suit is plain awful. It pulls and bulges everywhere, makes her look big and her legs stumpy. And she is definitely overdoing the colourful suits. I´ve had enough of them.
DeleteFor the Chanel suit: a thing of beauty is a joy for ever.
ReplyDeleteFor Victoria: please..this is an awful suit!
Mabel
Awful suit is not the right word IMV, but certainly worn in an unapropriate way! It is rather a Spring/Smmer suit, should therefore be worn with nice Summer shoes and a nice and simple Summer top, and some nice hair style.
DeleteQueen Sylvia’s Chanel suit is beautiful, but her hair looks a mess this time !!
ReplyDeleteYes. Sylvia's hair isn't looking good on these photos - she has got strong hair but she should have it cut a bit. It would make her look younger. I am not sure about the Chanel dress either.
DeletePauline
agree about the hair.
DeleteMargareta, the "gardienne de la couronne" looks very stylish, Sylvia unfortunately quite old. Perhaps she should shorten her hair a bit.
ReplyDeletePauline
Silvia turns 80 this year. She is 7 years senior to Margareta, age mate to Christina. For sure hair cut could make her look better but I wouldn't say she looks old. -Siri
DeleteQueen Silvia needs to get a haircut and a new style. She's an exceptionally lovely woman, but her current hair style is doing her no favors. DIQ
ReplyDeleteI think so too.
DeletePauline
Margareta is ver elegant. Yellow is not an easy color to wear but it suits her well and the brandy colored shose are perfect. Love the Chanel the queen is wearing. Cp Viktoris’s suit is unfortunately very ill fitting.
ReplyDeleteLadyofthemanor
Victoria’s suit is horrendous. She looks like a flight attendant on Aer Lingus the Irish airline.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see the King looking so well after Surgery. Glad everything went well. The Queen loves this outfit great color. Sadly, Victoria spoiled it with the ankle boots. Nice suit. Margarete of Rumania looked splendid. css
ReplyDeleteMargareta and Silvia look great, I especially enjoy the yellow colour. Victoria's suit isn't terrible (I have the same one in purple), but I think it needs a different styling. Ditch the booties, get rid of the fussy blouse and introduce something younger, cleaner instead.
ReplyDelete-Nika-
Margerita looks so elegant. Although yellow can be tricky color to wear in the middle of the winter, she looks wonderful. The fit is good, as the choice of accessories.
ReplyDeleteI also like Silvia - wonderfully rich color and fit is good. And when did her hair grow so long? For a woman in her late 70s, she has really thich and lovely hair.
Victoria...sorry but don't like this combol. Black ankle boots with short pants makes her legs look shorter and stampier, especially as the jacket is longer. Also the fit of jacket and pants is very bad, pulling and illfitting all over the body. Add that flat hairstyle... she could do so much better!
Kaarin
As much as I adore this Queen, I believe a shorter and different hair style would be more flattering . Also I would add a few highlights to lighten her hair, just a bit, again more flattering for her face.
ReplyDeleteLate to comment here - but thought I’d add that Princess Margareta looks very stylish and so does the queen (agreed though on her hair left wanting for a better cut). Their well cut, colourful outfits are proof that one can wear anything at any age. I concur with those who remarked on yellow not being an easy colour to pull off, but the Princess found the right shade and cut for it to be a very good sartorial choice.
ReplyDeleteThe king and prince both look elegant and distinguished. I wish I can say the same about Victoria. How did she not inherit her mum’s sense of style is hard to explain.
