On March 17, Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence attended the fourth and final day of the Cheltenham Festival 2023 held at Prestbury Park in Gloucestershire. The festival is a horse racing-based meeting. The four-day festival takes place annually in March in Cheltenham. It usually coincides with Saint Patrick's Day.
The suit and hat look great but I’m not at all keen on the boots. They look like something you’d keep in the car in case the weather deteriorated suddenly. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteMaybe that is what happened.
DeleteI was just thinking : Camilla's boots are just lovely ...
DeleteWhat a lovely suit and hat ! Nice to see the Princess Royal.
ReplyDeleteShe looks really well and younger than usually. With one exception: the boots!
ReplyDeleteNice look for Pss Anne, minor the boots. Also, a surprise to see Tim there too, css
ReplyDeleteLovely Lady.
ReplyDeleteJaunty hat with her racing brooch attached! Love her suit--its beautiful. A bit shocked by the boots--not a typical style for Anne in terms of the length of her skirt and height of her boots. Still, she's looking great and that hat steals the show!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Lovely suit and hat in a new flattering colour.
ReplyDeleteThe boots seem very practical for the horse races and not ugly at all,
Mabel
No, I think they are in fact ugly. She has other boots she could have worn that would have been perfectly acceptable. These are reminiscent of Uggs.
DeleteBlame it on the luck of the Irish. The position of her feet in those boots looks like she's about to do a Leprechaun bell kick! :))
ReplyDelete(The rest of her looks smashing, though).

Hahaha! You made me laugh :-))) No I see Princess Anne doing an Irish Dance with the heel klick :-))))) I love the boots by the way. Completes the look much better than the average knee high boots. And I love Princes Anne for always being a little different.
DeleteLovely outfit, especially the hat. The boots, however, are hideous. As the first comment says, they look like the old shoes you keep in the car.
ReplyDeleteAnnieM
The shoes!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Princess Anne, totally smart outfit, the boots, not so much, but really brilliant suit and hat! Edwina
ReplyDeleteSuperb outfit, the hat looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great... Until you see the boots.
ReplyDeleteLovely style and color, great touch of red, even her lips, but the boots are really outdated.
Luna
Camilla attended the ‘Ladies Day” at the Cheltenham racecourse on the second day of this famous event.
ReplyDeleteNo photos of her visit on NewMyRoyals.
She wore a camel coat which we have seen before plus THAT big camel hat with the fur she wore when she visited Colchester.
See photo in NewMyRoyals 07 March 2023.
Although they don’t appear in the photos, it is said that she wore boots.
But I don’t think she can be criticised for that as it was an outdoor event and boots were almost essential. Princess Anne wore boots at the same event.
Hope Camilla can get to see a Milliner (hat maker) for something new before the Coronation. You can see THAT hat again via ……

This is about Princess Ann. Can we just keep the remarks to this amazing royal princess please ?
DeleteI agree with V, this was a terrific outfit for a much overlooked Princess Royal, who has been a steadfast royal and true to her Mum, the Queen. G & C
DeleteNobody told her about the shoes.
ReplyDeleteGli stivali indossati con questo outfit molto buono sono la conferma che Anna non vuole consigli da nessuno 🙂
ReplyDeleteRossella
The shoes are not the newest fashion, like most of what Anne usually wears and this outfit is no exception. I find the message she sends convincing and this outfit looks really good. As for the boots: I for one have always found this shorter boot style pretty and I think it is just an especially awkward leg/feet position that the photograph caught. - The boots are blue, not black, which is an additional plus. (-Ann.)
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda glad that one of the royals is not into fashion. Love the hat though. She has such thin legs.
ReplyDeleteI love Ann's hat and her suit fits her perfectly. She has a marvelous figure. The way Sir Tim quietly supports his wife reminds me of Prince Phillip's support for Queen Elizabeth. Ann would have made a wonderful queen for the UK. If only.......
ReplyDeleteBut she isn't - and we have a wonderful king with a supportive wife.
DeleteAgree !!
DeleteI think the boots would have worked much better if Anne had worn dark-toned hose — not opaque — sheer or semi-sheer. — Jane
ReplyDeleteThe Princess Royal is an amazing lady. Her fashion choices reflect her no-nonsense approach to life. I love her blue suit with red embellishments, and her hat with horse pin is perfect! As for her boots, I've read that the weather was cold and damp, so the boots are practical and I think they're quite nice. I agree with Virginia Dogwood that Sir Tim is much like Prince Phillip in his support of his wife.
ReplyDeleteI have never, ever and never will understand mid-calf boots, ankle and tall to the knee are great but I have never ever seen a pair of mid-calf boots flatter anyone.
