On Friday 24 March, Swedish Crown Princess Victoria attended a meeting with staff who are currently attending the diplomatic program, the foreign relations administrator or assistant program carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD). The meeting took place in the Bernadotte Library at the Royal Palace.
The three training programs prepare the participants for service in the foreign relations administration, for example at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Stockholm or at Swedish embassies, representations and consulates abroad. The Crown Princess opened the meeting by welcoming all participants to the Royal Palace.
The outfit could be quite good, but the big plastic hair clip ruins it completely for me. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteWhy ??
DeleteAgree! The plastic clip is not professional and not the best choice for this setting.
DeleteAgree, it looks like she is about to get into the shower. There is a wide variety of hair ornaments available, for a royal at an official engagement this plastic clip is too casual. On one of her park hikes, fine. Here, no. S.M.
Deleteand i thought that's the best part, a slightly different hair style to the usual.
DeleteEven the shoes have plastics, we can't avoid it unless someone invests an alternative.

I'm happy to see she's not wearing nail polish. |Melanie|
DeleteI agree with you Missy. I too thought it was the best part.

Not a fan of her buns ALL the time and a giant plastic clip does not make it better. I do think the jacket and pants are a good look for her. It is just too bad she won't wear her hair down sometimes.
DeleteSul serio ha legato i capelli con una grossa molletta..? Non ci posso credere.

She looks enthusiastic, welcoming, approachable and business like - what’s not to like? Clips to hold long hair are useful and neat, and some women like to wear them. There are probably other women in the room with the same. Why do commenters here criticise unless everything from the royals is perfect and fancy? Why not enjoy seeing these royals also dress with normal things (clips!) and practical clothes?
DeletePerché sono sicura ci siano fermagli più belli di quella molletta!

Nice to see the hair bun styled differently, and a lovely suit

Yes I agree, usually I prefer the hair styled with a clip ! It gives a softer look, however this one is quite big. Are you aware of other material than plastic for this kind of hair clip ?
DeleteNice to see CP Victoria, the suit, suites her, as well as the matching hair accessory. She is lovely, inside and out.
ReplyDeleteLa veste de son costume comporte une belle association de couleurs mais je pense que sa pince à cheveux ne la flatte pas du tout !
ReplyDeleteShe cannot always wear diamonds like queen Maxima the other day !! Ridiculous amount of diamond jewelry in daytime !!
DeleteI want to thank Helen for her descriptions of these events. Victoria looks well put together and engaged. I do like her in blue shades. I think blue works well with her complexion and hair. The hair clip has a coordinating pattern on it, which is hard to see.
ReplyDeleteAnd we are spoilt by Helen with the number photos we see.
DeleteI hope that one day something could be sorted out (technically) to have only nicknames as is the case on most blogs.
-Dorothe-
ReplyDeleteJa, ich stimme mit.
DeleteNice outfit, as always. css
ReplyDeleteGreat business outfit.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit looks business like and elegant. The jacket is very chic and stylish.
ReplyDeleteNot a 100% business look but pretty close. For me it's a 08/10.
DeleteThis is a 10 out of 10 from me. Also something I would wear.
