Prince Albert and Princess Charlene took part in the preparations for the event named #8MarchMonaco by creating their own pieces of art and making additions to those made by the children of the Principality. One hundred notable people contributed to a collective artwork designed by artist Anthony Alberti, alias Mr One Teas.
The final result of a related competition will be announced on 8 March. The #8MarchMonaco campaign will also be visible around the city, particularly at roundabouts. As part of the #8MarchMonaco (#8MarsMonaco) campaign, the Women’s Rights Committee is this year focusing on the protection of women’s rights and the law of the sea.

I love this. They look like they're having fun.
ReplyDeleteThe dress code must have been “snug and cosy”.
ReplyDeleteFashion is being pushed aside here.
Monaco can be very, very chilly in winter.
Love Princess Charlene’s boots.
The two hair dryers on the table?
Hair dryers to dry the paint.
DeleteIt was 12 degrees and sunny today in Monaco, hardly chilly !!
Delete@Anon19:15
DeleteSunny yes. But unfortunately, the 12 degrees would not last for the whole day.
There would be a couple of hours at this temperature and then it would start to fall to arrive around freezing at night.
Plus you have to take into account the 'wind chill factor'.
I'm a hothouse lily and any temperature below 15°C is chilly for me😣
She hardly smiles. Why does she prefer that masculine look? She can do it, of course, but why not change her hairstyle a bit?
ReplyDeleteI wonder, whether this post will be published. Never be critical - only in pure fashion matters, like: "I like that outfit" or "I don´t like that particular colour on her, it washes her out" etc.
Pauline
Totally agree. Masculine look.
DeleteYou're so right.. all those oh and ah's.
DeleteYou feel "safe" when you are parroting each other, trying being as plain as possible.

She is always so masculine. I don't understand why. Tall, blonde, blue eyes and masculine. She can do better.
DeleteWe have seen Charlene smile a lot on photos lately. Have a good look around. PS on photo nr 2 they obviously has fun and are grinning over something togeheter. Stop the sillieness.
DeleteCan't you just stop this. Charlene as a former swimmer has broad shoulders. So this is her natural body. This winter we have seen her in colourful feminin dresses and coats, but still you complain. Some of them can never win.
DeleteAre they going to a funeral afterwards ??

ReplyDeletePrincess Charlene has this quiet and appreciative way of being involved and engaging with people and the cause. The communicative attitude also underlined by the clothes on one level with everyone else at this event is uplifting.
ReplyDeleteI always find such negative codemdemeanormments interesting. Your opinions does not matter, period!
ReplyDeleteWhat?
DeleteYour opinions does not matter too, period!
DeleteWe are trying to help her with fashion. She's pretty but need to change her style.
Agree. I find the nastiness some of the royal gets mind-boggling. Do we ever think a) what this say about ourselves and b) we are talking about fellow human beings with feelings
DeleteGreat to see them both, participating at this event.
ReplyDeleteNice to see them both at the same event. It must be cold in Monaco, both in partner look. css
ReplyDeleteI think she looks great. Very reminiscent of Katherine Hepburn's style. Kim
ReplyDeleteKatherine Hepburn? My style is Maureen Grube from Revolutionary Road.
DeleteI don’t think she looks masculine- I think she looks beautiful and modern. Her hair is unique and I think her clothes are interesting. She is certainly one that can be admired for fashion.
ReplyDeleteHow funny;)
DeleteJe suis à 100% d'accord avec vous (Commentaire à 08h43).
DeleteWell, I think, her hairstyle is rather masculine. Why does she do it? Perhaps to make sure that she is different from Princess Grace, the much admired and world-famous actress and princess? Well, she is different. She definitely has her own style and looks very good in her Akris-outfits or evening gowns. But she hardly ever smiles and I think, this hairstyle is more masculine than feminine.

DeletePrincess Charlene (found in the second link) at the Red Cross Ball in the green evening gown is STUNNING.
8:43 completely agree. She looks great.
DeleteI feel that many commenting here have a very limited and one-sided view of femininity. Women can have short hair and still be feminine. I love her pixie cut. The best hairstyle she's had over the years. I love that she dares to be different and like her unique fashion style and sometimes bold choices.
ReplyDelete100% d’accord.
DeleteCharlène n’a pas une nature de cheveux pour les avoir long, elle a trouvé son style, moi j’aime bien.
Vanessa
Agree. Princess Charlene seems to like her style, her short hair, her sometimes slightly androgynous look. Why does she have to look more "feminine"? Why is her short haircut so much disliked, but on the other hand many here often request to chop off longer hair (like often the case with Catherine, The Princess of Wales) because a woman with kids and being over 40 years old should not wear her hair in such a long fashion? Well, I do have news for you on this matter: it is exactly what Charlene does! Who dictates all these Do's and Dont's? Are women not free to express themselves in a way they see fit? If Charlene loves her current style, great! If Catherine loves her long hair (and I suppose William does as well), fine!
DeleteAlbert like short hair
Delete@DSC
DeleteI am in agreement with your comment.
In addition, I begin to suspect that someone repeatedly asking Princess Kate to chop off her long hair is just a way to say she does not stand women's beautiful long hair in general because she cannot probably compete with them.
As to Charlene: I find her hairstyle very appropriate for her facial features and eye colour.
The platinum shade is really amazing IMO.
"Her slightly androgynous look", as one commentator put it. The opposite to very short hair isn't necessarily long hair.
ReplyDeletePauline
Charlene is an athlete. She is very beautiful lady with a healthy build. I love the short hair, always neat and stylish. It makes me sad to see women talk negative about other women...we have enough struggles without bashing one another.
ReplyDelete"It makes me sad to see women talk negative about other women..."
DeleteIt's totally normal. We fight with each other and steal mens to each other.
P.
@P. But not all of us. I try to keep my house in order and leave other women's husbands alone 😁
DeleteMaybe you are different but me and my three sisters are totally vamps. Actually I'm married for the fourth time.
DeleteOh P. No, it's not normal. No one should speak ill of any other person. Makes me sad as well.

DeleteThis is the life.
Princess Charlene suits the Garçon cut particularly well. She is a woman with oval faces and loving, soft, motherly features and that's why she is one of the exceptions who looks cool, sassy and mischievous with this short hairstyle and yet she looks incredibly feminine. The famous writer Astrid Lindgren was one of the first famous women with this hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteAstrid Lindgren was born in 1907 and it's 2023. Understand what are we talking about?
Deletecharlene is a very beautiful woman she should grow her hair back!!
ReplyDeleteIt's up to Charlene how she will wear her hair.
