On February 9, 2023, Prince Albert, Charlotte Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo, Pierre Casiraghi and Andrea Casiraghi attended the premiere of the documentary film "Guardians of the planet" (Whale Nation) at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The documentary film was supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. The documentary explores the complex society and lives of humpback whales and is inspired by Heathcote Williams’ book of the same name. It is narrated by Oscar-winning actor Jean Dujardin.

Ah, Monaco. They always just seem smug, like they know they have gads of money. At least the other royals seem to pretend that they need to serve the country to keep their role. That said, Charlotte and Beatrice look gorgeous per usual.
ReplyDeleteI like your comment. The royal world is a lot of theatre, isn´t it? Good theatre has a place is society (to raise awareness or at least to entertain), bad theatre however is useless. They´d better play their roles well :-)
DeleteAmy, you are right!! There is something about their attitude that differs enorm from the other royals, I really think you are right!
DeleteAbout fashion, the usual style, still they are good looking, so i don't mind seeing them at all.
Luna
I agree. I have always thought the royals from Monaco fit the definition of Eurotrash perfectly. (Fashionable, affluent Europeans living a shallow or materialistic life.)
DeleteThere is a difference between Monaco and other European monarchies: Monaco royals are not using taxpayers' money as there is no income tax in Monaco whereas other royals are dependent on taxpayer's money..
DeleteMargot
Ah, but don't forget the curse they're all under. ;D
DeleteEuropa
Other royal families are royal families. The Monaco Clan is celebrity.
DeleteMargot, Monaco's business model is, that they give very rich people from Germany and other european countries the opportunity to move there in order to avoid paying taxes in their home country. Tax evasion.
DeletePerhaps you are not well informed Amy. In an interview with Hola Beatrice Borromeo explained, “We help when we can here in Monaco, if there is any need for us to represent the family, we’re honoured to do it but it’s not very demanding for us. We have our jobs, we work for a living, and don’t depend on the State on any level.”

@missy: They have their jobbs? What kind of work they do except the parties?Nothing att all!
DeleteAmong other businesses the Prince of Monaco owns the casino and is the nobleman with the greatest fortune of all European royalty.
DeleteWho, by the way Margot donot “ depend” on taxpayers money: they have great richnesses themselves, but their funtinonality, representation, household etc. Is payed for by the country.
Mabel
@missy Instead of showing your ignorance and bias on the subject, a simple google search could clear up matters for you. They do work for a living. They also go to Monaco to support the family when they can. You may start to like them if you learn something about them.
Delete@Europa move on it is 21Century not 14

To Missy
DeleteDear Missy, I think you are *missing* the point.
Maybe you reckon that whoever is blessed with some kind of beauty should live secluded in a Museum of Fine Arts, motionless and bankrolled by their rich family?
News for you: no, they may just work like anybody else in the world and earn their living.
As to Charlotte and Beatrice in particular, they are no frontline royals , I'd call them side royals instead and in attendance when needed.
Is their beauty so disturbing to you?
Prince Albert is one of the richest royals in the world, and reportedly has personal assets valued over $1,2 billion.
DeleteAssets include land in France, Germany and Monaco and large shares in Societe des bins de mer de Monaco, which operates Monaco’s casino venues. So then appanage would not be necessary either.
Bof bien triste tout cela plus aucun intĂ©rĂȘt…uniquement porte-manteau Chanel ou Dior. Les sourires ne sont mĂȘme pas au rendez-vous !
ReplyDeleteVanessa
I totally agree
DeleteDior- love the skirt.
ReplyDeleteChanel- possibly the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.
I totally agree..
DeleteCharlotte always has a bored and a presumptuousness and arrogance and haughtiness face. If it bothers you who forces you to participate? Come on…. Irene
Rossella
Charlotte and Beatrice represent these brands. When posing for pictures, they assume a *model* attitude. Albert is the working royal here. The rest are supportive family members. When candid shots are included, like the side view of Charlotte, it shows a much more relaxed and happy Charlotte. I can’t complain about the support this family gives Albert, Charlene and the children.
ReplyDeleteAs for the fashion: They appreciate fashion and these ladies work to earn a living as brand ambassadors. You don’t have to understand or like what they wear. Other women do. I like seeing how they take clothes from the runway to life. Many times these pieces end up reinterpreted by other brands so average consumers can purchase them.
Average?
DeletePerfectly correct analysis. I agree with everything you've stated.

How can very expensive fashion look so … boring?
ReplyDeleteBut a Lichtblick, Jean Dujardin.
Anna
Dujardin: ah oui!
DeleteThink all the Monaco royals are looking good here. I really like the way the Casiraghis and, to a lesser extent, Princess Stephanie’s children support Prince Albert. Interesting comment from Irene re Charlotte. I thought she looked, by her standards, quite cheerful. Likewise, to Cam, while the jacket is not my cup of tea, Charlotte has definitely worn uglier outfits.
ReplyDeleteLooking at Andrea Casiraghi, I am struck by his likeness ( I know he’s no relation) to some of the Windsors, like Prince Michael of Kent or the late Earl of Harewood ( Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin).
AnnieM
Thank you for correcting me.
DeleteFamiglia principesca come "famiglia del principe" penso, perché i ragazzi non sono principi.
ReplyDeleteRossella
The Chanel outfit is dreadful. Charlotte never seems to be well groomed. I am not a fan of Beatrice's outfit either.
ReplyDeleteCoincise and well put comment, Ava (I have been missing your spot on comments đ).
DeleteI'd say yes to the ever - beautiful Charlotte and Beatrice and no to their dreadful outfits, even though I respect their work as ambassadors for Chanel and Dior.
P. the original, thank you!, So good to see you back, I miss your input! Its been too long.
DeleteDearest Ava, thank you so much!
DeleteOh,, I''ll do my best to produce my home -made comments and to add my personal make-up section any time I bump into any inspirational royal woman!
Sorry for not being able to correct my mistakes oftentimes in my comments.
Dearest Ava, thank you so much!!
DeleteOh, I'll do my best to pop in whenever I can.
And, I promise, whenever I happen to see any inspirational royal lady, I' ll drop a few lines about make- up too!
A big hug for you,
P. the original
P. the original --- LOL! don't worry about mistakes, we all make them, but me most of all! Look forward to your input. Take care
DeleteThank you, Ava.
DeleteI really think this is a miss for Beatrice, this skirt looks more like a blanket? Charlotts outfit look nice, but I would say it would look better for a younger one. css
ReplyDeleteCharlotte’s jacket is ugly, Beatrice’s skirt is equally ugly. Look at me - should be and only Chanel or Dior with no taste. Surely not the best outfits of these brands.
ReplyDeleteJ.
How hot is Pierre Casiraghi in that velvet jacket, he looks very dreamy! The best part of this photo
ReplyDeleteNo, best is Jean Dujardin
DeleteHe looks just like his late very handsome father. I agree he is gorgeous
DeleteCalm down @missy. O.K., O.K. Pierre Casiraghi is 'hot'.
DeleteBut he's a married man with a young family.
I'm sure Beatrice Borromeo doesn't want to have a "crowded marriage" as a famous Princess once said.
@ deadeggs:
DeleteSono sposati, ma io non sono gelosa :)
Rossella
And note @"missy. You stand the risk of being known as "the other woman" on this blog. You would have to change your nickname to "Missy AKA the other woman" đ
Delete@deadeggs, your comments to Missy sound very stupid.
DeleteAva
He's hot, Missy?
DeleteHot is a particular word, I think you should know.
Well, he's handsome, yes, but you can find even better ones among single men.
@ Ava. Do you ever smile or see the lighter side of life?
DeleteQue ces gens-là ont l'air désabusés.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I like about Charlotte's Chanel jacket is that it mirrors the Chanel bag. I like the bag better than the jacket
ReplyDeleteI find that the Prince's nieces and nephews cheapen the look of Monaco's monarchy and makes it look more like a Bravo reality show rather than one of the oldest rulling dynasties in Europe.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte and Beatrice look terrible most of the time, I am not exagerating when I say I could only pick one outfit from each that they looked good in. Meanwhile Pierre and Andrea look so sleazy. There's nothing even remotely regal about any of them.
They should leave only Albert, Charlene, Caroline and Stephanie to do these sort of engagements and red carpets photo ops.
I love the way they look, the jeans, the shirts, no facelift, so natural both the mother and the daughter, I think that the most artificial is Leticia from Spain.
