On February 20, 2023, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie received President Chantale Keller and Vice-President Malou Wagner from Blëtz association, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary, at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg. Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie is the patron of Blëtz asbl. Blëtz’s mission is to help and to offer support to stroke and aphasia patients, their families and friends. Blëtz also promotes medical and scientific research in this particular area.
Stephanie is in her usual style, nothing notable. I am a little puzzled about the visitors' attire. Did they think they were going hiking? The fleece jumpers and the combat boots are hardly suitable for an official palace visit.
ReplyDeleteam puzzled too, its seems like in Luxembourg people don't care to dress up. It looks like they are going for a hike.
DeleteA mon humble avis, le style de Stéphanie est mieux que celui des deux dames qui l'entourent ; pour une visite au Palais, j'aurais bien vu celles-ci avec des chaussures plus en harmonie avec leur tenue !
ReplyDeleteCombat shoes are in this winter. Women wear them with jeans instead of boots. You do not have to go hiking you can wear them in town too. I don't think in the GD Luxemburg you are requested to dress formal to visit the palace. People can wear their daily outfit or the clothes they put on to go to work.
ReplyDeleteNo Stephanie. But it's interesting that her pregnancy, so huge and visible last week, is barely even noticeable in this photo
ReplyDeleteBlack is always a good camouflaged. Light does not bounce off it the same as with other colors so it "hides" shapes and curves. That, in combination with the HGD facing straight forward, instead of from the side, gives the illusion of a barely noticeable "baby bump." I love black. I wear it as much as I can (in combo with other colors) to hide a "multitude of sins." :D
DeleteA photo taken at a good angle by the photographer for a lady who is expecting.
DeletePrincess Stephanie is glowing. To me, she was born to be a mum 😊
The hair, the pants, the shoes..
ReplyDeleteExactly...
DeleteI hope the Grand Duchess reigns for a very long time; Stephanie does nothing to promote Luxembourg fashion.😘
ReplyDeleteMillie
Does Luxemburg have much of its own fashion to speak of?
DeleteStephanie has more qualities than just the clothes she is wearing !!
DeleteShe never used to be like this, only in the last 5 years her style is extremely casual. Perhaps the stress of pregnancy. Lets hope for better days.
DeletePrincess Stephanie went into her "being-a-mum" mode before little Prince Charles was born. Yes, she has become more casual with her style of dressing. BUT she is happy, smiling and a beautiful mother.
DeleteTo me, that's more important than the colour of the dress she is wearing or what matching nail polish she is or is not wearing. Enjoy your motherhood dear Princess Stephanie. Your kids are only with you for a short while before they become adults.
She won't be the most fashionable princess/Grand Duchess. Unless there is a miracle after she is finished childbearing. Stephanie is a l young woman who has no sense of style to speak of at best and who is a frump at worst.. But she never tries to be who she is not and for refined intelligence, culture and natural sense of dignity she has no real equal among her the Royal women in her age group.(JMHO)
DeleteAnyway, given the choice between a fashion forward Grand Duchess with anger issues who has been accused of abusing her staff and one who has never been accused of being unkind to anyone, I don't doubt who the Luxembourgers would prefer.
Okay, well, no one is really dressed well here and their various stances aren't helping. Maybe just a cropped photo from the waist up of three would have been a better photo to release to the press.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree
DeleteIts lovely to see Stephanie still out and about, good on her, she looks well and happy.
ReplyDeleteNothing to see here, not special. But the other two ladies with slim jeans and what hiking boots, one not even tide the laces what is this?. Ladies a little bit of an effort please! css
ReplyDeleteSuch shoes are normal winter footwear here where I live. You wear them in town too when it's cold and the streets are wet or icy and slippery. This looks like a working visit and the two ladies have most probably walked to the palace to brief Stephanie dressed like they normally do for work, and after the visit they carry on with their daily routines. Nothing wrong with it./Grace
DeleteOh boy, more evidence that Stephanie is not into fashion. However, her clothing choices are aging her by several decades so I wish she would up her game just a little to show off her beautiful face!
ReplyDeleteShe has the best legs along with the Princess of Wales. It's a shame they are going to waste under those ugly and unflattering pants she wears.
DeleteNo surprises from Stephanie here. Her shawl actually has some pretty colors in it. I wish she had opened it more to surround her shoulders. The other two — I don’t mind more casual outfits but there is attractive casual and ugly casual—this is ugly casual. —Anne
ReplyDelete🤭🤭😚☺️
DeleteLovely woman, and the angle of the photo, she barely looks pregnant.
ReplyDeleteDear Deadeggs, Totally agree with you. For those who adore trashing her: I presume Stephanie knew what guests she was expecting and dressed appropriately, which is actually a sign of good breeding and not a lack of style. Long before she gave birth, when she was slimmer, she was very fashionable (go to Getty), later she no doubt had medical issues that changed her focus. For those interested in younger-than-ever performances, GD Maria Teresa is the best pick.
ReplyDeleteShe is really such a beauty, however the clothes are not good points, every.
ReplyDeleteThat shawl could have been pretty, if she had opened it up.
