On the evening of the second day of their visit to Aruba, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima and Crown Princess Amalia attended the Bon Bini Festival that took place at Fort Zoutman Historical Museum in Aruba. Following a walk around Plaza Padú, where there was music and a presentation of local products, the royal family watched an exploratory show on Aruban culture and history, with Caribbean music and dance.

DeletePerhaps the best dress Queen Maxima has worn in a long time! very flattering too. Her earring are simple today. CP Amalia's top is well suited for carnival, but as someone said her style is mature for her age.
ReplyDeleteagreed on all counts.

Q. Max looks simply wonderful here. The dress suits her well and she’s clearly enjoying herself at the event. CP Amalia’s colourful, festive poncho is a good choice too for the occasion. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima’s dress is very nice and seems just right for the occasion. How she manages to walk around in those shoes is a mystery to me.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the poncho and could even find Missoni’s chevron pattern ok if it wasn’t for the lilac fringe. I find the color overwhelming and it draws the attention away from her face, and clashes wit her hair and complexion.

I think it would have been better if she would have worn the poncho with a pair of lilac trousers
DeleteThe poncho thing isn´t bad as such, and it even seems to suit the occasion of a colourful creole festival, but it is totally wrong for Amalia. Also, the white trousers deserve a break. I like her non-plateau sandals.
ReplyDeleteMaxima looks nice, and she seems to enjoy the latino vibes of the trip. The dress is good, but I´m not sure about the black thing she´s put around her waist. She certainly has the legs (and the tan) for those strappy sandals she´s wearing.
Now the crown princess looks really lovely!

Both look lovely but they actually look like they are dressed for different occasions....

ReplyDelete@spring 2023 : Thanks for the link.
DeleteNice to see the Royal family enjoying a bit of 'party time'.
The Queen continues to shine at every occasion on this trip. Love this dress on her and the strapped shoes are just fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAmalia has appeared unsure throughout but that’s to be expected given her young age. I’m sure this trip will add significantly to her education on becoming a royal leader one day. Her confidence and fashion will follow as well.
I think Amalia's personality is humbled and can be perceived as luck of confidence when together with a vibrant personality like Maxima.
DeleteShe is still young, she will have her moment

Lovely dress and shoes for Max, but too informal for the occasion. More something for a private setting. Poor Amalia. It looks like she is hiding under a colorful tent. Please someone help this girl too find her style and confidence. Money isn’t an issue I presume.
ReplyDeleteI actually think that Amalia will look amazing with a short, modern hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteWhat is mind boggling is that Amalia herself has stated in an authorized interview that her mother dresses her. The mother always outshines the daughter who is unsuitably dressed most of the times.

The Queen looked marvellous. She certainly had all the right moves, I watched a video of them dancing in the street and Queen Maxima was amazing! love her dress very befitting the occasion. Amalia, looks great and seemed to be enjoying herself. Its been a fantastic tour.
ReplyDeleteMaxima is quite the dancer!
DeleteThe young princess has a beautiful face and amazing head of hair, but this brightly colored poncho is really not a good look for her.
ReplyDeleteAnother fantastic outfit for Queen Maxima. She has looked great on this trip. I wonder if Princess Amalia self conscious about her shape and is therefore choosing voluminous tops as a disguise? Unfortunately, with the exception of the emerald green top yesterday, they've not looked great. I wish the Princess well as her style evolves into something more flattering as it surely will.
ReplyDeleteMaxima fabulous. Poncho Amalia awful
ReplyDeletethe RL look very nice. css
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks fab. Not sure about Amelia’s poncho.
ReplyDeleteIs this a farce or a State visit? Irene
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks gorgeous. The Princess looks older than her mother, in this outfit. The poncho is a great idea but never wear stripes going across makes you look bigger, shame. The colours are gorgeous on her. I agree lilac trouser would have looked fabulous. She needs help in her styling, everything seems to be too mature on her, she is so young, she should wear fun clothes.
