The Imperial Household Agency has released new photos of Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, Princess Aiko, Emperor Emeritus Akihito and Empress Emerita Michiko, Crown Prince Akishino, Crown Princess Kiko, Princess Kako and Prince Hisahito. At the start of new years, Japanese Imperial Family releases family photos as a tradition.
Photos of the Emperor and Empress were taken on December 23, 2022 at Imperial residence. Photos of the Emperor Emeritus and Empress Emerita were taken on December 6, 2022 at the Sento Imperial residence. Photos of the Crown Prince family were taken on December 24, 2022 at the Akishino residence.

ReplyDeleteSome pictures are staged but I think they look a lot less formal than usual. I really like the Emperor, Empress and their daughter. They look really happy in these pictures.

She is still relatively young (22 years). She seems to have a timid personality and hasn’t yet allowed her full, natural beauty to show.

DeleteThe Empress looks beautiful, love her suit, the edging and trim along the collar and continuing along looks lovely, adding interest. The single stand of pearls look very elegant. How wonderful to see Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko.
