On January 22, 2023, Prince Albert, Prince Jacques, Princess Gabriella, Camille Gottlieb and Louis Ducruet attended the 3rd day of the 45th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival at Chapiteau de Fontvieille in Monaco. From 20 to 29 January, the International Circus Festival celebrate its 45th anniversary along with the 10th edition of New Generation event.
No matter what event children looks so unhappy.

Am sure they smiled during the show, so many funny acts, their pictures were not taken at the happiest moments

Please stop this nonsense. Would you feel like yourself as a little kid with Cameras flashing in your face? Or would you be shy and awkward like the rest of us? Sometimes grown up shock me, or shall we say a lot of the time they do.
DeleteI would not either with a camera shoved up my face. RH
ReplyDeletei think Charlene does not come to the circus anymore because it would contradict with her causes- protecting animals against cruelty
DeleteGood point @missy.
DeleteBut if this is the case, Princess Charlene wouldn’t let the kids go.
But then maybe the Princess is caught between two stools.
It appears that all the Monaco Royal family aren't against live animals in a circus.
So it could be a case of the kids being left to make up their own mind.
In photo N°1, I love the way Prince Jacques is looking up to his father.
Photo N°3 Princess Gabriella looks so pretty with her fringe and headband and bouquet of flowers.
@Missy: Many circuses do not have animals anymore. Human talent only.

DeleteCamille has really blossomed into an attractive young woman, and she seems to choose clothes that fit and flatter her. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI thought that too in these recent photos. She looks like she's lost quite a bit of weight and has turned into a real beauty. The twins are as gorgeous as always. It's great the way that the family support Princess Stephanie in their attendance at the Circus festival
DeleteThe children are so cute! Camille is pretty; she reminds me a little of Princess Grace.
ReplyDeleteJudy.
Seeing these children always make me unhappy : I totally agree with you Ava,
ReplyDeleteMabel
I'm sure this was an enjoyable day and lots of fun for the children. Great to see Camille as well. She is a beautiful young lady.
ReplyDeleteMissy 23/1/23 14:29. Dear Missy I am not 100% sure and I may be very wrong but I do not think one animal appears in that circus perhps horses but I have never seen an animal on all those Monte Carlo photo's only acrobats and clowns
ReplyDeleteSORRY I stand corrected. There do appear to be animal acts at least o the ticket buying adverts.
ReplyDeleteThere are birds, horses, elephants, tigers ...
DeletePrincess Stephanie is a vociferous defender of animals in circuses 🤨
The twins are so cute and I love that some of their older cousins join with Albert to go see the circus with the children. Camille, again, looks lovely.

The very pretty twins Jack and Gabriella are rightly the pride of Prince Albert and Charlene. Open and approachable, they have a very good presence and stand out positively like the Swedish children Estelle and Oskar.

ReplyDeleteI don't think photos taken at a public events are a good indication as to whether or not these children are happy. There are probably photographers everywhere, camera flashes going off everywhere... imagine how daunting such a situation would be, even for an adult?
ReplyDeleteMany, many years ago (early 1980s) I attended a State Receiption for the then Prince & Princess of Wales in Melbourne, Australia. I was astounded by the light from the camera flashes, honestly I don't know how anyone manages to see with that many flashes going off in their face - it was horrible.
These two little ones are the cutest. Louis is smiling Camille looks like she did not want to be there. Maybe she had a bad day. css
ReplyDeleteMaybe she didn't have a bad day - in other photos not published here she is seen smiling and laughing.
