On January 27, 2023, Japanese Crown Prince Akishino (Fumihito), Crown Princess Kiko, Princess Kako and Princess Akiko (Mikasa) visited the 71st Kanto Tokai Flower Exhibition in Toshima Ward, Tokyo. The Kanto Tokai Flower Exhibition is the largest and oldest flower exhibition in Japan, sponsored by 11 prefectures in the Kanto and Tokai regions.

DeletePrincess Akiko of Mikasa is second cousin to the Japanese Emperor Naruhito. She seems to like to wear hats a 'little different.'
See photos on the net via Google .......... hats Princess Akiko
I think all of the ladies look very good here. CP Kiko’s suit is beautifully tailored and accessorized, and P. Kako has chosen another pretty, floaty dress. I would have worn a nude shoe rather than white but that’s a minor quibble. We can’t see much of P Akiko’s outfit, but her hat is excellent! (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteLovely dresses all round. css
ReplyDeleteWhen will they stop wearing masks?
ReplyDeleteJapan has quite high numbers of Covid cases at the moment compared to other countries, so I don't think they will stop wearing masks anytime soon, as the Imperial Family is considered a role model to the Japanese people. Other than that, I think this should be none of our concern anyway. They do as they see fit.
DeleteSince the Emperor and Empress don't remove their masks, I don't think the other members of the Imperial Family can remove them.
DeleteAt the traditional New Year's greeting ceremony, Imperial Family wore masks, even though they were far from people and shielded by buildings. According to late reports, Emperor Naruhito decided to wear masks at the ceremony. On Princess Aiko's birthday last month(daughter of the Emperor and Empress), the Imperial Household Agency announced that she had not attended university for the three years since her enrollment to prevent infection. Japanese people go about work and school, but the Emperor's family seems so afraid of COVID-19.
All the Royal ladies look very good here, well groomed and lovely outfits. Well tailored and added color, excellent. I do love the grey hat, it looks very chic.
ReplyDeleteLove the gray hat.
ReplyDeleteThere are three members of the Japanese Imperial Family with PhDs. It is a pleasure to see them all at once. Beautiful family and Princess Akiko. I respect them so much because they have great lifework. Their dresses are classy. They look great with flowers.
