Great look for the CP. css
ReplyDeleteI think Mary has worn this combination before. I rarely give Mary thumbs down but on this occasion I will. That short sleeved top thing with jumper underneath looks weird. Maey
ReplyDeleteAgree with you. It’s not her usual classy look. Like the skirt but not the top. AnnieM
DeleteSame here, this outfit is a fail for me. MR
DeleteThe outfit is surely difficult to wear. I think she is doing well, much better than the model.
DeleteI don’t think tucking the vest is the best way to wear it. It links better untucked as on the model.
ReplyDeleteMary looks fabulous! The maxi skirt is so chic.
ReplyDeleteJanet
I am still hesitating, but I might well agree with you.
DeleteYou have to hand it to CP Mary, she’s always so busy !
ReplyDeleteToday’s look is professional and smart. Love the boots!
This is quite a strange outfit. I dont like the top, especially the sleeves. The skirt is almost costume-esk. The boots may be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNot her best look. Don't really like the oversized, bulkiness of the top. Her skirt is very chic though. MD
ReplyDeleteGreat look, but I wonder why she wears black to a cancer research center instead of a bright, cheerful color. Maxima would have. S.M.
ReplyDeleteI understand and second your comment, however, this is a research and information center, not a treatment facility or hopital ward. She is thus not meeting people who are suffering and need cheering up, she is meeting people interested in learning. It´s a different audience.
DeleteAnyway, you´re right in that her outfit is void of colour and rather gloomy-looking.
I think you are making a valid point.
DeleteI think she's wearing black because of the mourning for the queen's brother-in-law, King Konstanin of Greece.
DeleteI don't appreciate this look, or the upper part of it, longer be the skirt and then sharp boots

Big No-no! This is a rare miss from CP Mary.
ReplyDeleteI agree, looks like a Halloween outfit.
DeleteLove love love this outfit on Mary, just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAgree Sharni. It's an ensemble which is not conforming to a classic fashion style. I find the deviation interesting.
DeletePrincess Mary wears it well and gives it style.
10/10 for her visit and for endorsing the objectives of the centre.
I also think she looks amazing. It isn't a classic fashion look, no, but I think it's actually a very high fashion look and quite edgy.
DeleteThis is an unusual look for sure, but I think Mary wears it well. I like it.

Yes indeed there are easy choices which would gain unanimity, she is quite nicely wearing this more difficult one.
Delete@MaryT: I also agree with your earlier comment that CP Mary wears it far better than the model. She saw the potential of the outfit and adjusted how to wear it to make it look far better.

ReplyDeleteAn unusual look from her and I agree it´s not her usual level of elegance. Looking at the model picture, I cannot see what appealed to her about this look (at all) - I find it absolutely awful in every way: gloomy colours, shapeless cut and therefore poor fit, strange combination of materials plus a questionmark around what season this could possibly be worn at (looks winter-y but with bare arms?). Having said that I must say that Mary wears the top a million times better and actually makes it look presentable. She improved it in so many ways: better choice of skirt in terms of material and fit; the addition of the longsleeve highneck top makes it season-appropriate; tucking in the top makes it look edgy and less potatoe sack-like. If she had added a bit of colour, this would have been really nice.
ReplyDeleteI like the pink dress on the other lady.
I don't like the pink dress; it looks old-fashioned
DeleteI'm not a fan of the half in/half out of blouses. However, except for that feature, I think CP Mary looks wonderful, especially in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteCrown Princess Mary's look is so over the top that interestingly it looks fabulous to me!
ReplyDeleteYou have to keep in mind that the royal family is in mourning for king Constantine of Greece / Prince of Denmark hence the black outfit
ReplyDeleteSeems CP Mary is taking inspiration from P Charlene of Monaco.

Oh, love this outfit. The skirt looks so stylish and chic, the top is unusual and I love the fact she has gone with a different style.
ReplyDeleteI like the pieces, but not the front tuck.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is amazing
