Japan's Princess Kako turns 28 today. On the occasion of the birthday, the Imperial Household Agency has released new official photos of the Princess taken on December 2 at the Akasaka Estate. Princess Kako is Honorary President of the Japan Tennis Association. In May 2021, the Princess began working part-time for the Japanese Federation of the Deaf.
ReplyDeleteWow, she looks great! This outfit is both flattering and stylish. The earrings and boots add a modern touch too. (V.M.)
ReplyDeletePrincess Kako looks fabulous. I love her earrings, the sweater and jacket, her boots, even the pleated skirt, and especially her smile. Happy 28th birthday!
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos. She looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteChe bel viso dolce e simpatico, e finalmente un outfit moderno.
ReplyDeleteAuguri principessa!

Sunshine smile from Princess Kako. Splendid autumn colours of Akasaka estate. Soft colours and rather modern cuts, for the sweater and the coat at least, which is only natural for a young woman. Hopefully in the future Princess Aiko will be seen in similar clothes, for after all she is even younger than her cousin.

Very very lovely!
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely, according to Japanese standards, and also according to fashion to some extent.
ReplyDeleteShe is very beautiful. those boots are not of the imperial household, i suppose it was her day off
ReplyDeleteVery nice outfit, modern and youthful. Not at all the usual stiff dress code of the Japanese royals.

ReplyDeleteA very lovely young lady. I like to wish her a happy 28th Birthday, css
ReplyDeleteI really love these informal photos of Princess Kako. She looks wonderful, the casual wear looks fabulous. Love her earrings. She is a beautiful, photogenic young lady. She looks modern, yet elegant.
ReplyDeleteOh, wonderful pictures! I'm really happy that the court lets her express her personal style a bit in these birthday photo shoots. She looks lovely and I hope she's thriving!

In view of the strict dress protocol of the Japanese court, the modern approach here is very refreshing. I would have preferred more colour, but this was perhaps not possible. Otherwise, delightful photos.

I hope that this is a sign of the Japanese dress code changing without going too far away from their traditions.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to a very beautiful Princess Kako.
Would be nice to pick up some news of her sister's life in the USA.
I hou van de moderne outfit van prinses Kako. Ze kunnen het wel als ze willen (toestemming krijgen).
ReplyDeletePrincess Kako actively took on the official duties of her older sister, Mako Komuro, who left the Imperial Family after marrying a civilian.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the Imperial Household Agency, Kako hopes to evolve into a society that offers a wide range of life choices so that people can realize their full potential.

DeleteThanks for the link. Good to get some news on her sister.
I wonder if she (her sister) will ever be forgiven for her sin of marying a commoner ?
I hope that Princess Kako doesn't get thrown out with the dishwater if she marries a commoner 😥
