Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako visited the 130th anniversary exhibition titled "The Resonance of the Art Treasures: The Seikado Collection" at Seikado Bunko Art Museum in Tokyo. Seikado Bunko Library and Art Museum houses the Iwasaki family collection consisting of 200,000 classic books and 6,500 works of art including Important Cultural Properties. Seikado is recognized as a major treasure house of East Asian culture.
The Empress looks rather bland from a distance. Wonder what the fabric of the jacket looked like up close. Would also like to see the necklace up close.
ReplyDeleteThe Empress looks lovely. The ivory jacket with the black blouse and pants is a nice combination, and the black and white pearls match beautifully. I think it is so sweet that the Emperor's ties almost always match the color orf his wife's ensemble.
ReplyDeleteI love that the Empress is wearing trousers! The simplicity of her outfit is very elegant. She looks lovely!

Always elegant. css
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely ensemble. The pants appear to be a good fit, she looks very elegant, yet subtly dressed. Would love to see a close up of her necklace.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely couple, so sweet together.
