The Kingdom of Bhutan celebrated the 115th National Day on December 17, 2022. In 1907, Gongsar Wangchuk was crowned as the first king of a united Bhutan. The national day has been celebrated in the country since then. King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Queen Jetsun Pema and their two children, and other members of the royal family attended the celebrations that took place at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu.
All these colourful outfits are a delight! What a beautiful queen she is! IP

ReplyDeleteI always love seeing pictures of this family. Such a feast for the eyes. Beautiful.

Queen Jetsun Pema is such a stunning lady--she looks so beautiful here. The rich colors of the silks are so gorgeous. The Crown Prince (I am not sure of his title) is getting so big! And his little brother is so adorable. Of course, the King is looking very handsome here too. How wonderful to see extended family members also. I would love to know more about the necklaces and earrings worn by the Queen and the other royal ladies.
