The Countess of Wessex paid a visit to Staffordshire. The Countess of Wessex first visited JCB in support of their NSPCC Platinum Jubilee Appeal, which was set up to mark late Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign. The Countess became patron of the NSPCC in 2016. This patronage was previously held by Queen Elizabeth for more than 60 years.
During the visit, the Countess met with some of the employees who helped the fundraising efforts and she officially opened the new JCB factory. Thereafter, the Countess visited the Newcastle-Under-Lyme Council’s Safe Space initiative to see the work being carried out by staff and volunteers on the local refugee programme.
The Countess then visited the Salvation Army. There, the Countess saw the work being carried out by staff on the Rough Sleepers Initiative, by supporting those who are homeless and helping move them into safety and accommodation.
That's very chrismassy.
ReplyDeleteManteau et pull aux couleurs automnales, c'est parfait mais je ne suis pas tellement d'accord sur la jupe qui est trop longue ; elle serait plus élégante s'il était possible de mieux voir ses bottes comme sur le mannequin !
ReplyDeleteI very much desire to own this coat.
ReplyDeleteHer hair and makeup are lovely, but the outfit lacks cohesion. The coat is good but needs to be shortened. The skirt, same thing. And why introduce a dark red top and taupe boots? Even the jewelry is a hodge-podge. C. Sophie has some excellent pieces in her wardrobe but it’s time she worked with a good stylist to pull her looks together. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteVery nice coat, but the skirt is too long and looks awkward.
ReplyDeleteThe countess of Wessex is a charming, friendly women, working hard for all kind of good causes. Sge has a very young and pretty face. I like the checkered coat and the colour combination. However, it's her style to wear most of her clothing very long down to her shoes. Would love to see her more in knee length clothes. She would look more young and modern.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice skirt only if it wasn't that long on Sophie.

All these pieces together do not work, the skirt is so very pretty, yet the length is unflattering, the coat is just OK. The whole outfit looks bulky, and lusterless.

Yes, although she's wearing expensive brands - it doesn't look good.

Countess Sophie is one of my favourite royals but her fashion choices are sometimes just odd! I love the coat, The wine green combo appeared recently I think, only with trousers.and it didn't work then either. The skirt looks nice but it's far too long and just doesn't go with everything else. She herself still looks happy and enthusiastic. Seems to be a lovely person.
ReplyDeleteI am a great admirer of the Countess of Wessex and I think she is beautiful. However, her fashion sense is lacking and I wish she had the benefit of a stylist. All three garments are pretty on their own, but together they are a total mismatch. As mentioned above, the coat and skirt are too long and they totally swamp her. But, her beautiful smiling face makes up for any fashion faux pas.
ReplyDeleteI love this coat, but it seems bulky or too long, not quite sure. The skirt being longer than the coat is a no for me, I like the hemline to be just above the hem of the coat.
ReplyDeleteAll the pieces looks nice, but not when worn together. Maybe too much colour and fabrics. ~MS~
