In the evening of the second and last day of the state visit made by Italian President and his daughter to the Netherlands, President Mattarella and Laura Mattarella hosted a musical performance by Beatrice and Ludovica Rana at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Following the concert, Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima took leave of the Italian President and his daughter Laura Mattarella. On November 11, the President and his daughter Laura Mattarella will visit Maastricht city of the province of Limburg.
VALENTINO Silk Dress
Queen Maxima looks very elegant, you cannot go wrong with Valentino, I wish the King would shave his beard in my opinion it does not suit him very well and it makes him look untidy.

I agree on the beard, not a plus for the king. Personally I like a beard only for young men. Queen Maxima is quite elegant. Ms Matarella really quite discreet, hard to make a comment on her look.
DeleteQM looking gorgeous in any way. Yes please WA get rid of this awful beard
DeleteQMax looks lovely in her red gown. The necklace is colorful and very pretty. Her earrings, I'm guessing diamond studs, are barely visible, and, I see that she wore bracelets on each arm, one matching her necklace. Very nice. The president's daughter looks very pretty in her navy blue gown (with lace trim at the hem?) and matching coat. All seem to be having a good time. I hope they enjoyed the concert.
ReplyDeleteFeeling a little meh about the cut of the dress, but it’s a nice color and love the necklace. And a small nit on the straight hair…would have preferred and up do.
ReplyDeleteMaxima looks wonderful. Love it all - head to toe (especially her hair) - and everything in between. Gorgeous Valentino gown. The darker shoes are proper for evening.

Over the top as usual !!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, never allowing someone else, not even a guest, the limelight.

I don't agree. This evening gown looks very elegant. And her jewellery is okay. I can, however, understand the criticism concerning her golden evening dress the other day, combined with that pearl necklace and that pearl "crown" - that was a bit overdone in my view.

Love the Queen's sleek hairstyle. See Max? You can do it if you want to!
ReplyDeleteI have the feeling she had a little hair cut, unless a magician intervened.
DeleteQueen Maxima looks beautiful in this red silk gown. I watched a little on You Tube and in motion the dress moves beautifully. Love her choice of jewels particularly the necklace, very effective as is the bracelet. Love the color of her clutch and shoes.
ReplyDeleteMy style is more the “ daughter’s” understated chic.
ReplyDeleteMaxima of course stunning, but over-dressed and under-kempt,
Mabel
I like both lady's dresses, but this beautiful Valentino creation demands styled hair.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeletePauline
I agree.
DeleteI love Tutti-frutti jewellery! I am not so sure it is the best choice for the wonderful red dress but it sure makes a statement. The dress is divine and the whole look would have been much better with her hair up.
ReplyDeleteLadyofthemanor
@Ladyofthe manor. Me too. I love Venetian tutti-frutti jewelry.
DeleteAnd it’s affordable.
I’ve seen it done in a fine, sophisticated way and also in a bold, “fun” way.
Laura è sempre molto sobria e minimale negli outfit, per questo eleganti e tendenti al blu o nero. Infatti mi ha piacevolmente sbalordita il primo giorno della visita con quella bella combinazione di colori tono su tono.

I agree that Laura's best style day was day 1. With some colors !!
DeleteWhen she gets it right, she gets it RIGHT. This is a beautiful ensemble - understated, elegant, but also signalling "I'm the Queen". I also love her hair here, the sleek style makes her look very modern and elegant. Ms Mattarella looks a bit like she's going to a business meeting rather than a concert, but the outfit is chic and practical, so why not.

Gorgeous red dress. Not sure why you would consider it OTT, Anon 4 56. It's an evening gown for an evening event. I tend not to notice jewellery as much as tother people do but I was immediately struck by this beautiful necklace. best of all--well first equal with the red dress---, it seems as of the Queen has finally had the straggly ends cut off her hair. It looks great here.
ReplyDeleteShe is wearing rare " tutti fruiti" jewels and she wears them so well. She looks fabulous and glamorous as a Queen should!
ReplyDeleteThe Lady in red. Great gown of course Valentino. The tutti fruity Necklace and the earrings are stunning. The First Lady looks very nice, maybe she should have opted for a long version of the dress OMO. css
ReplyDeleteOk, while I am trying hard to recover from a trance caused by Q Letizia's s magnificent mules, I nust admit that Maxima looks really dazzling here.
ReplyDeleteEverything is perfect, including her necklace and the halo hair piece, which I was placed beneath her natural hair, I think.
I am a little disappointed in Mrs Mattarella' s outfits except for the combo pink/ burgundy worn on the first day of her trip to the Netherlands.
Queen Maxima looks amazing!
