Queen Letizia dark green dress is, dare I say, dull, and totally unremarkable. The First Lady's welcoming dress is about the same. However, their evening ensembles are quite nice. QL has lately favored the off-shoulder dresses. This one, with the while "rope" trim, is a rewear. I can't decide if it's a "yea" or "nay." She looks good in it regardless. The First Lady's gown is very stylist and very festive. I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt is the same dress she wore in London to the funeral of the late Duke of Edinburgh.
DeleteError doble.
Both Queen's outfits are perfect.

I like the green dress, but it would be better looking with a nice brooch.
ReplyDeleteThe evening gowns are good choices, not over the top, but seems festive enough

Both couples are polished and very appropriate in both day and evening outfits, and even through some rain! It’s a little hard to see the First Lady’s evening dress, but her necklace and skirt are really interesting and chic.

Letizia has the same problem as Charlene the other day - the green colour probably looks rich and saturated in person, but it photographs very dark. The first Lady has the same "problem" with her blue dress, but both look very nice overall. I love the silhouette of Letizia's dress and the little wrap/coat she's wearing.
ReplyDeleteI also love the evening gown - I might prefer the more toned down version with the ponytail and the smaller earrings, but the current styling is also impeccable. Not entirely sold on the First Lady's dress, the skirt portion does not look very elegant.

A bit difficult to make a comment on the First Lady's dress.
DeleteCould it be some kind of a double skirt?
Her choices for the visits have been, in my opinion, well made.
She is an attractive lady and has an impressive C.V.
She is a professor at the Medical School of the University of Zagreb.
She has two children from her marriage with the President.
My thoughts exactly on the dark green colour. Probably much better irl. Ladyofthemanor
DeleteI really like the dark green. I think it looked nice on Charlene, and it looks nice on Letizia. Dark green is a dark colour, true, but I think it is still clearly not black. What makes Letizia´s take on a dark-green dress more successful is that it is balanced out better. The sheer tights allow some skin colour to be seen on her legs, whereas Charlene wore black boots. Also, Charlene´s neckline was more closed up, leaving only her face and hair for contrast, and a very sharp contrast at that.
ReplyDeleteLetizia looks fantastic, as usual. I love when she wears a cape, instead of just throwing a coat over her shoulders, looks chic. And the navy evening gown is beautiful. The First Lady also looks wonderful.

Both the Queen and the First Lady look great. css
ReplyDeleteIts nice to see the rewear of the dark green dress, I love this dress and it looks well presented on this occasion. I love the style, fit and length.
ReplyDeleteThe first lady's dark blue coatdress I love, but the hemline is slightly uneven, a minor quibble, but something that I never like, maybe button align problem.
Queen Letizia's evening gown, another marvellous rewear. I love this gown. The neckline is unusual, which is fabulous. The fit and length is perfect. The diamond earrings and diamond sapphire bracelet are stunning the perfect choice. Her makeup and hair, beautifully groomed. The first lady's evening wear looks unusual, but she looks beautiful. I would like to see better photos of her attire, I don't feel these photos show it to its best advantage.
