  1. Surely a good idea that the whole family meets regularly, particularly after the frustrations engendered by the decision about the title for Pr Joachim and Marie about the status of their children. On these pictures their smiles are directed towards each other, rather than to the public. I like Marie's top.
I am not fan of the queen's cape with fur; for me it belongs to another time, although I admit it is better than a full fur coat or jacket. Mary's dress is a bit too long. It appears at the bottom of her coat. Benedict is nicely dressed.

    1. Yes, Benedicte looks elegant. The queen's dress is awful, old-fashioned, she doesn't look very elegant most of the time, rather stuffy and old-fashioned.

  3. Princess Benedicte looks wonderful as usual. Mary also looks good in a low key sort of way. I like Princess Marie’s top and hair, but I think the pants are too wide.
The Queen is her usual over the top self, but she is the center of attention so good for her.

    1. Queen Margarethe doesn't know how to dress well - she lacks chic and elegance. Quite the opposite of her sister Benedicte or her daughter-in-law Mary.

  4. Great look for all the RL. Love the swing on the Queens wrap. I like Pss Maries jacket, but the plant is too long. Lovely dress for the CPss. Pss Benedikte is always classy.css

  6. This is not one of the best looks on CP Mary. The granny dress, middle parting and pillbox ages her way beyond words. She normally looks very chic but this is just boring.
Love the Armani jacket and Marie looks very good with the white pants.
I want Queen Ms fur cape. Winter is coming.

  7. The Queen looks wonderful and I do like her outfit. CP Mary's coat is lovely as is her dress, a very elegant dress. I like the design, color and length. Pss Bene looks fabulous, so chic and stylish, love the color of her coat, and matching shoes, marvellous. Her white beret looks chic, she looks very elegant. Pss Marie looks well groomed, but something about her Armani jacket I am not a fan of, I don't quite know what that his. Her white trousers look great, fit well.

    1. I don't think queen Margarethe looks wonderful. She has no dress sense, contrary to her sister Benedicte.

I get the impression you' ve come late for the party.
I mean that Queen Margrethe has never looked more fashionable.
If you a have a look at the latest F/ W collections, you will see how one of the most leading trends of the season consists of coats/ trenches/ jackets/ tops with faux fur hems and cuffs even in very bizarre colours.
Maybe the cape design is moot in this case but the overall look from the Queen is quite cool.
Princess Marie is the real miss for me as this kind of pants are not designed for petite women imo.

  8. I like the style and structure of Marie’s top very much—not so much the trousers. But I find her nearly always quite elegant. This is not one of Mary’s better efforts—dress is serviceable only, headpiece looks strange paired with the dress. But at least it seemed like a civil gathering after the controversy over Margarethe’s title decision about Joachim’s family.

  9. P. Marie has a nice top (would have looked better with narrow pants) but P. Benedikte for the win once again.

  10. Bit disappointed in CP Mary & Pss Marie. Mary headband seems out of place in both color and style. Her make up seems very heavy, which can age her. Marie top is lovely, but the trousers swamp her. She has such a petite frame, she suits a narrower trouser leg. Plus, her hair is looking as if a root touch up might be needed.
HMQ is lovely in her own personal style. Princess B saves the day here! She always looks well put together, and today is no exception.

    1. I agree about Marie’s pants being I’ll suited on her petite frame.
Mary has a nice simple look. I’ve noticed she has simple but elegant clothing when she is making an effort not to out fashion the person who the main event is about… the Queen.
The Queen’s style is a a bit strangely fitted. Most of her clothing bunches up in the mid section.

  11. Great to see Marie & Joachim again. Love Marie's top but not the pants. The bottom looks better on the model can't tell if it is pants or skirt though. Mary has nailed it as always. Love her coat & accessorised with the gloves are a hit. Benedikte elegant. Mary

  12. Wow! That is some cape the Queen is wearing. It's fabulous but a bit overwhelming. As is often the case, I put Princess Benedikte at the top of the list for elegance and style, though I think CP Mary also looks great. I am so delighted to see Prince Joachim and Princess Marie there, after all the unpleasantness about titles, that I wouldn't care if she was wearing a sack. I like both jacket and trousers but don't think they go well together.

  13. Love Marie's outfit (even the pants, lol). Glad she wore her hair slicked back, just makes the whole look so chic. Benedikte looks fantastic as usual as well, classic. I can't put my finger on what I don't like about Mary's look, maybe color of the headband, or just the old fashioned look compared to the chic look of Marie and Benedikte. As for the Queen, just no.

  14. I wish she would stop wearing dead animal body parts which are not a bi-product from the meat- and dairy industry. Her support of Kopenhagen Fur is unethical and outdated.

    1. Yes, her cape seems to be at least 30 years old. She looks very old fashioned most of the time, not elegant, more like a funny old woman - despite all the possibilities she has got.

  16. Princess Benedikte wins hands down here again. Runner-up is Princess Marie, sporting a very polished look altogether. Contrary to some others here, I think that Queen Margrethe indeed had her fur wrap altered from real to faux fur. About time, I'd say. Perhaps she wanted to avoid eggs being thrown at her by activists (PETA and the likes) and other persons gone mad (as it was the case with King Charles III in York earlier this week).

  17. Margaretha and Benedikte always in swinging colours, models and accessories. They really always dare to think out of the box in their fashion. Mary is of course again well and decently dressed but misses in general a bit the adventurous wow factor. Marie's jacket is wonderful but her trousers are too wide for her length.

  18. Lol at all the " the queen looks old fashion" comments. Did you notice, she's old?
She has, and always has had, her own distinct style. You may not like it, but she certainly does. I love how she's always different from the rest!

    1. You are free to love QM and her stuffy and old-fashioned style. To me she is not elegant. Pr. Benedicte is old, too, but much more elegant. And the late Queen Elizabeth II had her own distinctive style but most of the time she was very elegant, well dressed. And she was much wiser in her decisions.

    1. Well, I don't think that "everyone looks great and cheerful" - if you look at the pictures you can easily see that Prince Joachim and Princess Marie look rather sad or sobre - and one can understand why. By the way, QM presented herself alone on the balcony - what do the supporters and admirers of Daisy's fashion style say? Is that the picture of a happy family?

  20. Good to see them together, even if body language suggests there’s some tension between them still.

I usually like Princess Benedikte’s outfits, but this one is a miss for me. The unusual hat (turban?) is making her head look overly large. The bright cape has too much going on and colour clashes with the turban.

Mary and Marie look very well groomed. I like Marie’s Armani outfit but it’s unclear if it is suitable for the occasion (and outside temperatures).

  21. Princess Benedikte wins for me. Such class and elegance in her outfit! Marie is a close second - she looks very French here, in a good way. I slightly miss a coat on her - there's quite a difference between the bundled up queen and her rather thin jacket. Mary is a bit puzzling. From the neck down, she looks great, nothing overly special, but nice. The headpiece however does not fit into this ensemble at all!

  22. It's really funny to notice how many commentators want to see competition between the royal sisters, reigning queen Margrethe and princess Benedikte. Their roles are totally different and most probable as persons they are different from each other. The monarch has great amount official duties to take care of whereas Benedikte can concentrate to her interest in fashion only. Of course it shows. And we should also remember that Margrethe besides being the monarch is also an artist. Even that shows.
When a lady - royal or non-royal - gets old (M is 82) it is quite ok to wear even one's old clothes. I remember being told that British royal ladies wear any dress only ONCE. Is that the right way?
