The Queen Consort visited the maternity unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, which acts as a key hub for women experiencing domestic abuse. Chelsea and Westminster Hospital aims to provide any domestic abuse survivor at the hospital with access to confidential advice and specialist support to keep them and any dependants safe.

While at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, The Queen had a private meeting with several people who have used the service, before joining representatives of charity SafeLives and the hospital’s wider domestic abuse team. The hospital has works with Standing Together, SafeLives and other partners in developing a 'whole health' approach to domestic abuse.

  1. I am glad Q Camilla give support to this charity, she did it as Dss of Cornwall, now it will be as Queen. So many people need help to get over this horror, or at least learn to understand it is part of their life. I like this coat, she looks good. css

  2. I quite like this dress, its has some interesting embroidery on the bodice and neckline. What a wonderful visit, I greatly admire the work the Queen Consort does with domestic abuse sufferers.

    1. Although fitting her well, the dress is little attractive. Her support here must be appreciated.

  3. Not the kind of dress I would wear with black tights.

  6. Off topic Can I just say that Camilla is doing a great job in supporting this charity in the area of domestic abuse.
On topic, fashion. I feel that we may have seen this outfit before or something similar??
I think she has made a good choice of her ensemble for the occasion. Pleased to see she has chosen town shoes and not country boots.
A touch of colour or gayness with the accessories wouldn't go amiss.
    Now a bit of gossip.
On the 07th October of this year Camilla attended a Literary Festival in Braemer, Scotland.
She wore a dress that was a disaster. It didn’t appear on this site and was ignored on other royal sites.
The site that did report it received 125 comments, most of which were strong, negative comments. I must admit that it was a great miss or mistake by Camilla.
It looked like she was wearing a night dress or bathrobe and carrying her toilet bag with her .
The shoes received a lot of negative comment also.
But then I suppose even a Queen Consort has the right to make a mistake from time to time.

    1. I saw the so-called dress you are referring to. It was a horror. It looked like any one of a number of blue velour bathrobes or house coats a grandmother would wear. I am not one of the people that likes her dresses and coats. To me, they all look too much alike, with subtle changes in the sleeves and trim. Whoever is being paid to style and clothe Camilla is doing her a great disservice.

  7. Queen Camilla has definitely found her uniform and sticks to it, just like Queen Elizabeth used to. The dress is beautifully tailored and nicely understated to highlight the cause rather than the fashion. She has my full support!
