  1. Attractive, well-cut, appropriate dresses that look good on Sophie, maybe a tad informal?

  2. Entre ces deux robes, celle imprimée sur fond vert de Suzannah est bien portée par Sophie en épousant au mieux ses formes mais un petit bémol au niveau de sa longueur !

She would have look nice in green dress if it was not that long . The red dress looks more like dressing gown than a dress. Why is she wearing very often too long dresses?

Because she likes them that length and doesn't consider them too long?

Anon19:33 , Obviously but she doesn't look good in them . We are talking about fashion here.

But that wasn't the question you asked Ava. Actually, I think the green dress looks fine but my complaint about the red is that it needs to be more fitted around the bust.

Her dresses are always too long. A pity, the green and the red dress are not bad at all. Does she has no one who can make her dresses shorter ? In my country if you cannot do it yourself or if you don't know anybody who can do it for you, the boutiques which are selling these dresses are doing it themselves.

But if she is happy with the length why would she shorten them? Of course someone could do it for her - the fact that they don't suggests it's not a problem for her.

The dresses do not flatter her bustline.

  6. No doubt Sophie is an asset to the BRF!
It is off topic but I must say as for Congo I think of Dr. Denis Mukwege (and Nadia Murad). May their courageous work make the world a better place!

I love people who bring a smile. Sophie is such a sunshine in the British royal family. That's how I imagine a member of the royal family: positive and dignified, never complaining. Prince Philip once said that royals never talk about themselves, but are interested in others. Sophie learned well. Well done.
Fashion: I agree that some dresses should be shortened by Sophie - for example, the green one. But they are great colors for her, she glows all over. If I look like her when I am her age (58 years old), I will be very satisfied. Stephanie

Maybe it's because she likes them that way. Not too long to her.

And it is the length British women like to wear their dresses.
In Europe you can easily pick out an English woman in a crowd by the length of her dress.

When Countess Sophie was younger, just after her wedding she wore her dresses shorter. Although she is dressed beautifully sometimes, I liked her style then more than I do now.
In Europe there is a trend of wearing dresses and skirts shorter again. Everything is coming back.

My guess is that she likes the dresses on the longer side in the event the wind might cause problems.

  10. I like both dresses, particularly the green dress. I don't mind the longer length of both these dresses at all.

Like both dresses but agree that the length detracts from their overall appearance. The flat shoes exaggerate the frumpy look. Fascinated to hear from Deadeggs that British women are known for their too long dresses. I’ve never heard that suggested before!
