Queen Mathilde will turn 50 on 20 January 2023. On the occasion of her 50th birthday, the Queen had launched the initiative 'Together in motion for mental well-being'. In connection with that initiative, the Queen takes a walking or cycling tour in all ten provinces of Belgium and in the Brussels Region between July and December, together with people and organizations involved in projects related to mental well-being.
The 8th tour took place on Friday, October 28, in the Province of Luxembourg. Queen Mathilde and King Philippe of Belgium walked 15 km in the Luxembourg province together with participants from the local initiatives, Health Oncology Program Exercise (HOPE) and Belgian non-profit organisation, The Anticancer Fund.
Attic and Barn Sherpa Jacket
I guess it's appropriate for the occasion, but I find Mathilde's hat rather silly. The rest looks good in a casual way. The King could've gone for something other than a white shirt, it looks a bit out of place.

I agree that the hat looks rather silly. Especially on the pictures where she is not wearing the jacket. Without the hat the look is perfect for a walk in the forest
DeleteI agree too. It comes from the dress up suitcase labeled “walking”.

The hat appears to be way too small for her head. DIQ
ReplyDeleteThis is what Queen Mathilde likes to do walking for a good cause together with ill people and people of organizations involved in the mental well-being of cancer - and other patients. She feels at home In the woods of the Belgian province of Luxemburg where she grew up during her childhood and later as a young girl.
ReplyDeleteI like her outfit which is appropriate for the circumstances and is the kind of outfit worn by the landlords of the region around Bastogne (Belgian Ardennes). King Phillipe came by to walk 15 kilometers together with the queen to support her initiative.
Great initiative from Queen Mathilde to celebrate her upcoming birthday! She is looking marvelous in her casual outfit too.
ReplyDeleteCe chapeau lui conviendrait mieux dans une taille légèrement au-dessus ; j’aime bien ses bottes ainsi que sa veste camel tout à fait appropriées pour cette marche dans les chemins de la forêt !
ReplyDeleteNice jacket. Casual once in a while is good. css
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks great, she does casual wear really well. Love the boots and jacket. This is such an important and wonderful initiative. I'm glad the Queen is supporting the efforts of the participants and walking with them as does the King. Its vital for mental and physical well-being. I love the 1st photo of both of them together, nice.
ReplyDeleteThis sporty outfit is very flattering on the queen. You can see now that many skirts are bulking her up and making her look older. I like the hat because it brings lightness.
