The 30th Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony took place on Friday 28 October in Oviedo. King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia were present at the award ceremony. The Princess of Asturias Awards are a series of annual prizes awarded by the Princess of Asturias Foundation to individuals, entities or organisations from around the world who make notable achievements in the sciences, humanities and public affairs.
King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, Crown Princess Leonor, Infanta Sofia and former Queen Sofia attended the 2022 Princess of Asturias award ceremony at the Campoamor Theatre in Oviedo. The awards, named after the heir to the Spanish throne, are among the most important in the Spanish-speaking world.

The girls were tiny nuggets when I first got to know of them and now they are taller than their mum. I am very excited to see them more and more in future, for I am sure they will do their parents proud.
ReplyDeleteFashion-wise, I love the colour coordination between the ladies, though it made Felipe's blue suit stick out

Trois styles élégants différents mais j'aime beaucoup la robe asymétrique de Sofia alors que je n'en suis pas du tout fan ; il me semble qu'elle porte des petits talons montrant qu'elle est légèrement plus grande que sa mère !
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness — Leonor has truly blossomed. Her hair and makeup are lovely, and the suit is well-chosen— it has a young vibe without being too short, and the dark color provides appropriate gravitas. — Jane
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks nicer where Letizia had her hair up on another photo. Her daughters are pretty looking girls.
ReplyDeleteAva
No, her hair looks better down.

I like the suit Pss Léonore is wearing simple but appropriate, she looks good, also like the repeat of QL dress, she wore in the UK. Infanta Sofia loos good in Hugo Boss. The two Pss's really have grown up. css
ReplyDeleteEn las primeras fotos el vestido de Letizia no me convence, creo que no la va ese patrón. Las nenas están muy bien.
DeleteWhat a beautiful dress (white and black) Letizia is wearing. Maybe it should have been just a bit shorter.
ReplyDeleteAva
No, the length is just right.
DeleteThe Madam
They look good: the princesses are so beautiful! Leonor looks gorgeous in dark tones for dresses. I believe King Felipe tie is to combine with the color of the dresses of both Sofia: queen and daughter. Queen Letizia must be tired since she is using kitten heels with a long dress. They all look good in this soiree.
ReplyDeleteI think she was recently diagnosed with some nerve disorder in her feet. Hence the kitten heels

En las fotos de la entrega las tres están muy guapas y apropiadas .
ReplyDeleteI think this is the first time seeing the girls in real heels. They look lovely.

Letizia´s dresses are both too long for my liking. The first one looks like something from the 80s series "Dynasty". The second one is beautiful but really needed to be cocktail length.
ReplyDeleteThe girls are indeed blossoming. I like what they´re wearing, with the black suit on Leonor being my favourite. Sofia´s metallic blue is a close second although it´s a bit short on her (she´s tall).
Felipe looks fantastic. This is what a well-tailored suit should look like. And he looks so proud of his family.
I agree with you as to L.'s dresses. They are too long, too much material. Not chic! I don't agree with your opinion on the girls' dresses. To me they don't look chic or elegant. A young girl like Leonor shouldn't wear black or very dark colours. Sofias dresses are very often too short - not this one, but the green or blue one shown before.

It was just "yesterday" when these two sisters were little girls. And then suddenly (at least it seems that way) they are young women. They are stunning like their mother and just as fashion forward.
ReplyDeleteThe Cherubina Didi Dress is a lovely rewear, this silk dress is very pretty and looks so elegant. The black and white embellished gown looks wonderful, just enough embellished piece to be effective. I prefer this gown on Queen Letizia as opposed the wear of the model. Her diamond earrings were a great choice and that was all that was needed. Pss Leonor's b/white suit (not sure if its a dress or suit) looks very stylish she looks lovely. Infanta Sofia looks fabulous in her blue, sparkle dress, very pretty. Queen Sofia looks lovely in her pantsuit; I particularly like her jacket and the brooch she is wearing. King Felipe as usual looks well groomed.
ReplyDeleteNow that's better! Great looks all around. My winner is Letizia's black and white Carolina Herrera dress, absolutely magnificent! Leonor's first outfit (the black costume) coming in at a close second.

Beautiful family.

ReplyDeleteThis is not fair. They are young girls and their legs are as normal as can be. To me this is body shaming which happens regularly on this blog lately.
DeleteYou are body shaming two teenage girls. As a society, we are supposed to be encouraging our young ladies to love their bodies as they are, not pointing out flaws perceived by someone with a myopic mindset. Do you not understand the damage these types of comments can have on girls this age? Please don't add, "Sorry to say." If you were sorry, you wouldn't have said anything.
DeleteHer legs are perfect and proportionate, beautiful. Don't apologize for making girls' bodies ugly, just don't do it. I don't understand how you got past the filter for your comment to be published, because it's against some girls and that's harassment.
DeleteSusana
No more toxic and bullying comments on young women.
DeleteGet some help for yourself.
Still, almost kind of glad to see the moderator hasn't removed your preposterous posters.
Better leave them here for your SHAME.
This is not a fashion comment, so please delete, if not appropriate. But I find the best thing to see are the happy expressions on the faces of the proud parents. - Ellie
ReplyDeleteLots of positives here with, to my surprise, Queen Letizia’s outfits well down the list. I love Infanta Sofia’s blue dress and it’s so much better worn with heeled shoes instead of the awful dead flat ones she often wears. Next favourite is CP Leonor’s black suit, closely followed by the black and white dress. She is growing into such a lovely young lady. I like Queen Sofia’s smart blue trouser suit but both of Queen Letizia’s outfits are a bit off. The long gown is a strange length and the flatter heels make the normally elegant Queen look dumpy. Great photos

I never liked the Cherubina dress on Letizia, it's too long and the style doesn't suit her. I love the Carolina Herrera dress, she looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThe girls are wonderful, they are such an asset to Spain. Both of them are so mature and confident, that still can't believe they were tiny tots not long ago. I didn't like the black and white dress Leonor wore for the Awards until I saw it in video. Wow! What a difference, it's stunning.
I fully agree with the comment regarding Leonors dress. It's simply stunning when you see it in motion. What a different than seeing it on the picture. They all looked beautiful. This is on event I have always looked forward too. And again I was not disappointed. Leonor also made a beautiful speech.
DeletePicking up from several comments and starting with the Queen I also preferred the white first dress with hair up ; both dresses are nice. The winner here for me is Sofia, nice dresses, nice shoes. Letizia has lower heels than usually. I am not really a fan of twice the choice of black & white color for Leonor.
