On October 17, Queen Consort took part in the Booker Prize 2022 ceremony to hand out the literary prize. Sri Lankan author Shehan Karunatilaka won the Booker Prize for his novel named "The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida", which is a satirical "afterlife noir" set during Sri Lanka’s civil war. Karunatilaka received the award from Queen Consort at Roundhouse concert hall. The event was the first in-person Booker Prize ceremony since 2019.

  5. The new Queen looks wonderful in this shorter dress. Love the neckline and earrings. She radiates a positive vibe that I think really shows through and makes her seem very approachable.

  6. Hair and earrings are fab. Dress is nice but too dark, imo. AnnieM

  7. Her hair looks fabulous -- cut, styling and a touch of gleaming light blonde. (Glad to see the gray go away and hope she keeps this colour up.) The beautiful drop earrings are just right.

  8. Fabulous take on a little black dress. I like the lace neckline and that she's not wearing any jewellery to compete with it. Also really like the way her hair looks here.

  9. Stunning jewelry, the dress is very lovely. But her makeup and hairdo look great. I am glad she keeps up with her commitments. css

  10. In the back in the second photo lady in white blouse is Queen Camilla's sister.
They have similar hairdo in just a bit different color.

    1. Hadn't noticed that. Thanks Ava for pointing it out.
Camilla's two children and five grand children continue to keep a very low profie. I wonder if they'll be featured and highlighted by the media for the Coronation ?

a nice pair of black suede court pumps. Best change she has made. Hopefully the boots have been retired.

    1. I doubt it. As one of our bloggers said "those boots aren't going to give up without a good fight".
