On October 27, 2022, King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway hosted a gala dinner for the members of parliament (Storting). Members of the royal family welcomed members of the parliament for the traditional gala dinner at Oslo Royal Palace. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Astrid were present at the gala dinner.
VALENTINO wool and silk blend maxi dress
I like this red gown CP MM is wearing, it is stunning. The Q looks good in Royal blue. Pss Astrid looks very special it must not be easy on her, but she is who she is a Pss/ css
ReplyDeleteGorgeous red dress for Crown Princess Mette-Marit, beautiful blue for Queen Sonja. There's something very poignant about seeing the King with his sticks and Princess Astrid in her wheelchair--the older generation obviously failing in health. On a positive not, I love the fifth photo where the Crown Princess and the King are really laughing, as opposed to polite smiles
ReplyDeleteAgree with your comments and think all of the ladies and men look great. Love that the Queen and CP are shining in national colors!
DeleteThe Ladies all look lovely! I thought that Crown Prince Haakon pushing his Aunt was such a lovely gesture for him as well as his wife. Annie
ReplyDeleteQueen Sonja's blue gown is lovely for her, Princess Astrid's gold dress is pretty, and CP Mette-Marit's gown is gorgeous. CP M-M and Valentino often are a fashion marriage made in heaven and this is one of those occasions.

I agree with all of it! I would like to have a closer look af them to be able to admire the beautiful jewellery.
DeleteIt's a lovely dress but it is too small for her. Yes, she fits inside and it does not bulge, but the draping is meant to fall loosely and the sleeves are meant to be loose and gathered on top, and not cling to her arms. Beautiful style, a love lady but a dress too small. - Ellie
ReplyDeleteWas this really necessary? MM looks lovely. MM dress is bigger in the waist then the models. The draping is perfect. Do u really think a skinny anorextic models tells us how a dress is supposed to be worn?
DeleteThe Crown Princess is a busty woman with a lovely female figure, the red dress is stunning on her! Adore her "less is more" style with jewels. Leo
DeleteAnonymous at 8:30. My comment was just as necessary as yours, or just as irrelevant as yours. Just keep your hat on and don't make rubbish claims about anorexia and rah rah, as I mentioned no such thing. Your opinion is different from mine, and just put it in your pipe and smoke it. You haven't got a clue how I think. There is always someone who thinks she is board police to tell people what to post and how to think. Toodle-pip and live in peace, in your way. I don't mind whatever you choose to do. - Ellie
DeleteI agree that it is way too tight. No need to speak about "anorextic models" to see that.
DeleteTo my eyes, it's not too tight at all. She looks fabulous! MM has a curvy and healthy-looking middle-aged female body, and the dress fits her perfectly, as it fits the model, too. The only difference is their body type -- the model has a very boyish, almost breastless figure, as models tend to have. I have noticed that people often seem to criticize dresses as too tight, when the dresses are actually ok but show a curvier figure. And as for models and eating disorders, you can find some very interesting (and sad) information behind this link: https://www.eatingdisorderhope.com/risk-groups/eating-disorder-models

I agree with ano 8.30 and seeing Ellies over reaction didn't help either. -Sophie
DeleteMM is smashing in this dress. Perfect fit. Great from head to toe. Nothing more to say. Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteThey look absolutely gorgeous. Love, love, love Mette-Marits red dress. Suits her perfectly. What color can't she wear. And it was fun to see that for the first time ever MM wore Crown Princess Märthas diamond and pearls earring. https://preview.sdl.no/v1/no/xR_7Tst9faZAM-m2YJliSQ/QrrjJLiVmKA
ReplyDeletePrincess Mette-Marit wins the NewMyRoyals’ “WOW” prize of the day.
ReplyDeleteThe gowns of Queen Sonja and Princess Astrid get an honorable mention.
Only negative point for me is that it’s a bit of a miss for the skirt (hemline) on Queen Sonja’s gown.
The King and Prince Haakon look quite swank in their white tie and tails.
p.s. Princess Mette-Marit looks well again and good to see her out and about.
The Royal ladies look lovely Special mention to Pss Astrid, how beautiful she looks in her gold gown, and gold shoes. Wonderful she was able to attend. CP MM looks outstanding in red, definitely her color, this is a gorgeous gown. Queen Sonja looks beautiful in her blue gown. Love her mulit strand pearl choker, divine.
ReplyDeleteCP Mette Marit will get a lot of wear out of this beautiful simple dress. She doesn’t normally wear a lot of jewelry but without the badge sash I could picture a major necklace.

I don't think there's a single lady who doesn't look good in red and MM is no exception. Very beautiful! I wish her hairstyle was a tad softer, but that's nitpicking, really.

Beautiful red dress on Mette-Marit. I like these simple styles and solid colours on her, which I think suit her much better than the floral prairie dresses. I also like that the dress is properly floor-length on her rather than the length shown on the model. I wish the neckline was a bit lower, and I don´t think the purse was a good colour match, but apart from that I think she looks lovely. Size is fine but it is a snug fit.
ReplyDeleteI don´t like Sonja´s dress at all. The colour is too bright on her, the dress is too bulky, and I´m neither convinced about the style nor the material (in the skirt).
Astrid, Haakon and Harald all look good.
Ellie - Anon 12:24 [28/10/2022] you really nailed it with your comment. And yes you have every right to give your opinion too. I admire you how you stand your ground!
