On October 3, 2022, King Charles III and Queen Consort visited Dunfermline to celebrate its new city status. The King and Queen attended an official council meeting at the City Chambers. Dunfermline is one of eight places which will become cities to mark the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Afterwards, The King and Queen hosted a reception in the Great Gallery at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
King Charles is just so proud of his wife 🥺😍
ReplyDeleteSo excited to have been in Dunfermline today and been able to shake hands with both King and Queen. Her green coat very much her usual style and his kilt and jacket very smart. They were both lovely.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, glad you had the opportunity Annie.

DeleteHi Anni,
How very nice for you! ( and the King). I am positively surprised how fast the UK has warmed to Charles as the new King. I think he deserves it and obviously enjoys it.
Wouldnot it be possible for Queen Camilla to get advise from the late queens designer?
The older she got the better her outfits, I adored her combinations!
Mabel
Thanks for sharing, Annie, it's very interesting to hear how people "on the ground" perceive the new king and queen consort. They look very relaxed in the pictures, and I hope everyone had a lovely time, visitors and royals alike. :)
Delete@Mabel This is 'on topic' that is, a fashion comment.
DeleteThe boots are back for the winter 2022/23 season.
If Camilla does take your advice to gets a designer/stylist, could they please take a look at the possibility of doing something about the boots.
One thing that is urgent is some footwear (not boots) for the Coronation.
But as one blogger said last winter "these boots aren't going to give up without a good fight" :-))
@deadeggs, if she is back with boots, I am back with my comment. For an outdoor even, why shouldn't she wear boots, if that is her pleasure. She is no longer a young princess. However, it is a bit difficult to see them from the picture, but these don't seem to be those we have seen several times earlier.
DeleteIt is nice to see Camilla rewearing her outfits as a queen consort. Maybe it is only me but it looks like she is more reserved and solemn as before?
ReplyDeleteKing Charles always looks great in a kilt. Queen Camilla's green coat is very pretty and a wonderful color for her. I also like her simple blouse and dress.

I like the Kings socks ;they stop the kilt from looking bland. The Queen consort Camilla's coat is cut wrong; as it makes her look big; her hair looks a bit flat on the back. Fancy; N Sturgeon sitting in the front row. It is a bit like the politicians in Australia they race forward to ingratiate themselves ;and behind their back they put Royalty down(Tabby)
ReplyDeleteThe boots are out!!!
ReplyDeleteThe green suits her well, best wishes for both of them in their new roles.

King Charles wears a kilt so well. Queen Camilla looks lovely, her brooch is beautiful, unusual piece, placed on her green coat, I saw a photo of it elsewhere, beautiful stones. The gold bracelet she is wearing, very interesting looks to be small gold plaques.
ReplyDeleteKing Charles always looks good in a kilt. The colour of the queens coat looks fantastic on her the style of it a bit less. The one thing I dislike immensly is waistcoat/ pinafore like garments (school uniform memories) so I am biased and do n. Other than that she looks good.
ReplyDeleteYes, she packed her boots out of the winter closet. It are not the usual boots but another pair we've seen already during the last 2 winters. These boots are just as ugly as the other pair.
ReplyDeleteGood on Camilla. The older we get, the more "fashion" takes a back seat to comfort & warmth. Don't change, Camilla; wear your favorite boots! *Regina
DeleteWe should not expect trendy boots from her.
DeleteLast winter, on one occasion, she wore boots that had a cowboy (or cowgirl) look about them.
DeleteI hope they won't come back on the scene this winter for the Queen consort.
