King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are making a state visit to Lithuania at the invitation of Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda. On the second day of their visit to Lithuania, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, accompanied by President Gitanas Nauseda and First Lady Diana Nausedine visited the Town Hall in Vilnius. Afterwards, the King and Queen visited the University Life Science Center in Vilnius.
Natan hairy mohair jacket and wool crepe dress
What is wrong with Mathilde face, it doesn't look like her.

I have noticed it too, but not only today, but several occasions before. She looks tired and older.
DeleteYou know Maria, I noticed it when she visited the province of Walloon Brabant earlier in October. She had a very sad look on her face. She didn't appear to be her happy smiling self. I hope all's O.K.
DeleteI've noticed a distinct aging, or swollen face in a number of photos over the last few months. Illness, change of life are just two things that come to mind. She is a lovely lady, even though her choice of Natan is usually a disaster of one sort or another. Ali
DeleteSurprising ? Ageing !
DeleteI have thought the same. Tired and perhaps she has had a cold or was ill?! CC
DeleteMathilde looks lovely, maybe the shoes are a bit too much red.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks great in red! Ladyofthemanor
ReplyDeleteTrès jolie couleur rouge qui va à merveille avec sa blondeur mais à mon humble avis, elle aurait meilleure allure avec les chaussures de couleur gris-souris comme la pochette ; la Première Dame en est toujours démunie !
ReplyDeleteTotal redemption from last night! What beautiful red ensemble--and Queen Mathilde looks smashing.

On the contrary I would say
DeleteShe looks very pompous in this "ensemble" Anna
I really love this outfit of Mathilde, despite coming from Natan. That is the first time!
ReplyDeleteThe red color of Mathilda's dress is beautiful, but during this state visit the wife of the Lithuanian president was clearly a more elegant lady. PS: Lithuania is a world power of natural amber. The first lady's jewelry and pendants were amber. I visited Lithuania and also brought some amber jewelry from there, which is much cheaper there than abroad.

One day, we should try to define what is an elegant lady, TODAY. I support the idea that it should include a bit of opening to modern trends. Nothing is for ever, except diamonds.
DeleteTO Mary 16.22Elegance is a subjective term, of course. For me, elegance is a sum of several things: the dress, hairstyle, jewelry are suitable for the occasion, suitable for the figure of the lady, suitable in color, suitable cut, size of the dress (some ladies wear dresses that are too big or, on the contrary, tight).. Plus - from my point of view - beauty is in simplicity. I prefer simple lines, patterns and clean colors to a chaotic mixture of colors and cuts. In my opinion, Mathilde's outfit was missing something every day - today - too long suit, yesterday
Deleteshe wearing flashy big patterns, when she arrived - the colorful schizophrenia of the coat..

I love the dress on Queen Mathilde but I think the jacket (bolero) and the headband have to go. I is true that Queen Mathilde looks tired lately. She has a busy agenda for the moment. I hope she feels well.
ReplyDeleteLovely red dress. Not at all sure about the hairy jacket. Again, I don't like the bland colour of the First Lady's outfit and think it makes her look bigger than she appeared on other occasions
ReplyDeleteToday lady in red. She Mathilda looks very nice and so the First Lady of Lithuania. css
ReplyDeleteIt's almost as if she read the comments about the oddly mismatched grey-pink-blue ensemble yesterday and decided to go all in with red. It's a lot of colour, but she looks great in it. And this type of "hat" really suits her well.

This is quite a beautiful outfit, but IMO a bit too much red. Regardless she looks fabulous, the red dress is a nice design and good fit. The First Lady looks beautiful, this is a really lovely outfit. Her choices of jewellery are pretty, subtle but always appropriate. Love her shoes. She has wonderful style.
