On September 12, 2022, Princess Sofia of Sweden visited the Rinkeby Knutby School in Stockholm, Sweden in connection with the Safe Selfie Academy's training day. Rinkeby is a district in the Rinkeby-Kista borough, Stockholm. Safe Selfie Academy is a crime prevention training program for schools. The project is supported by Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia's Foundation (Prins Carl Philips och Prinsessan Sofias stiftelse).
CO’COUTURE Sandy Blouse
Jolie chevelure aux reflets lumineux mais au niveau de sa tenue, je trouve celle-ci un peu trop sombre ; elle nous a habitués à des couleurs plus vives comme -par exemple- du rouge !
ReplyDeleteI know Sofia is a Swedish Duchess but that smile ?? The whole world is in mourning and she laughs so happily. I can't get it.
ReplyDeleteXx
"The whole world is mourning"!? And nobody can smile? Are you serious? What a stupid comment. The queen of England was not the queen of Sweden or any nordic country.
DeleteShe has so much to be happy about, and she obviously likes her royal tasks! And no, the “whole world” is not in mourning. For the majority of the people around the world life still goes on, business as usual. Queen Margrethe still celebrated her jubilee with tiara events, banquets, concerts etc.
DeleteLife goes on.
But maybe you just don’t like Princess Sofia. I think that’s closer to the truth.
@Xx Sofia is a Swedish Princess not a Duchess. Why shouldn't she smile. She is among young students in a school. Queen Margrethe and the other Scandic Queens and other royals are smiling too on the events organized for her 50 years on the throne. The Belgian royal family was smiling too last Saturday at the wedding of Princess Maria Laura, daughter of Princess Astrid. Even the Princess of Wales was smiling to the people who gathered around Balmoral when she and the Princes William and Harry and Meghan came out to look at the flowers and read the messages of the people. The world goes on in the meantime, life goes on. Queen Elizabeth II wouldn't have want it otherwise I think.
DeleteSweden isn't in mourning. We can laugh happily as much as we like. What a silly comment.
Deletec'est n'importe quoi votre commentaire. Elle est avec des jeunes qui attendent d'elle autre chose qu'une tête triste.
DeleteAnd why would she not smile? Even the Queen's own children have been seen smiling. It's not disrespectful. As for fashion, this is not the best outfit Sofia has worn. The blouse/top is very odd and doesn't do anything for her.
DeleteSofia wore black. I thought it was a tribute to the Queen, but that smile. Amazing situation.
DeleteXx
Anonymous 17:05, I agree that Sofia can smile. She is with children at a school and yes, even Catherine smiled at people when they met people mourning Queen Elizabeth II. Even on this occasion, it is not forbidden to smile when people say nice things etc.
DeleteBut Sofia is a Princess as well as a Duchess, the Duchess of Värmland.
Seriously, 15:88? Have you smiled/laughed since you found out last Thursday? Thought so. Princess Sofia is in Sweden; but perhaps her all-black outfit is a nod to Queen Elizabeth's death. I recall a comment on here re Princess Mabel, that it was nice to see her smile again (as if she hadn't smiled in the SIX YEARS since Prince Friso died). QEII herself was very sensible, she wouldn't have had them send Sofia to the Tower. Goodness! *Regina
DeleteWe were sad and we prayed for Queen and some had tears in their eyes but the life goes on .

Anonymous12/9/22 15:58: News about Elizabeth II passing away was sad news for most of us. We are sad, we mourn. Members of British Royal Family managed to pull their lips into a smile when they greeted people. I hope they got comfort from the people who felt the loss. They are not alone in their grief.
DeleteAs you can see Sofia wore all black. FYI: Usually she's more colorfully dressed. I don't remember seeing her in all black unless she was attending the funeral. think this is her modest way of saying that she's touched and sad.
Constant fault finding is making you unhappy. Be kind to yourself.
Kaarin
Girls, you don't understand me. I saw the photos in black and I thought it was about the Queen. I was surprised because there was no seriousness, there was no minute of silence, there was a chuckle. Catherine and Meghan were not laughing. They smiled a little. This is a huge difference. Sofia was laughing out loud. I'm sorry.
DeleteXx
Lol, not even the whole of UK is mourning. There have been protests against shutting down of essential services, Scottish and Irish people have publicly celebrated on the day of the death itself. The whole world is too much of an exaggeration!
DeleteR
I wonder who is most beautifull Princess Sofia or Duchess Meghan? What is your honest opinion?
ReplyDeleteBePa
Beauty is subjective. What one person likes, another may not like, and that's perfectly fine. Both women - Sophia and Meghan are married to men who were once second in line to the throne. Sofia clearly handles her position better: she and her husband are discreet, supportive members of the royal family, they don't complain, they don't deal with private matters in public... that's why they've earned respect.
DeleteAnd before that, the media persecuted Sofia a lot - as a former model and reality show participant. Sofia is proof that patience, loyalty to family, to duties are the best way to gain respect from people and the media (Camilla and Sophie Wessex were also successful in this). I wish Meghan would learn from them.

DeleteJe les trouve belles toutes les deux, chacune dans son style !
@ BePa. What's the point ? They are two completely different women, each with their own personality so why compare them.

What a pointless question. I wonder who is more beautiful, you or I? Well, why don’t we ask everyone for an opinion? Oh, you say we’re not royals? So because these two ladies are, that means they can be objectified like that? Are they dolls or something in your mind? What will you suggest next, I wonder. Just because social media offers a platform, doesn’t mean you can abuse it.
DeleteI hope this is just one of those automated bots that create random questions. Cause I truly hope a real human (and especially a woman) would never treat their fellow humans in such a way.

The beauty is in the eye of beholder .

People take a little distance. I asked out of curiosity because I can't decide which is the most appropriate person to "follow" her career. I was curious how other people saw it. Have I offended anyone? Not. That was not my goal.
DeleteMy question is a bit like a Miss contest.
Sofia was a "model" and Meghan was an actress.
I can see you can't ask anything here.
People more distance less pretension.

Princess Sofia looks beautiful here. And yes, she can smile. She is on an engagement representing the Swedish monarchy. You do not want to appear sad and frowning. Life does go on. And I am sure other royals are very sad for the Queen's passing. But they must do their own duty and perform their work diligently. And I believe Queen Elizabeth would applaud them for that. On a fashion note, Princess Sofia looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteBePa, now that you asked, what do you think!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe if people changed.
ReplyDeleteXx
@12:58, first off the whole world is not mourning, it makes me sad just like any other human being passing, but she was 96, I would dare say that there are many reasons to celebrate her long, well lived life. You are aware that there are people dying in wars, conflicts, children with terminal illnesses, animals being abused and euthanized ever day ….
ReplyDeleteIf we weren’t able to laugh for our blessings and good thing in our lives we would become a very dysfunctional group. Have you stopped smiling because of all the things mentioned above?
Cherry
Cherry, Thank you for the voice of reasoning!
DeleteNo, but I am not in a state office. Sofia is a princess, a duchess, and should show respect and sadness in such a situation. Such a big laugh is out of place.
DeleteXx
We make our lives around the sadness.
DeleteAva
Nice to see Pss Sofia again at work. I like her outfit, but maybe the blouse in white would have been nicer, css
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see the Princess smiling, happy to be at this official function engaging and interested in her surrounds. Well done to her.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous at all times,
ReplyDeletedon't you think it Is time to stop and come back quietly to your dysfunctional way of life?
You and all your nicks, roses ,stupid comments are not welcomed on this board.
Be gone.
Dysfunctional way of life?
DeleteWhat are you talking about?
We are in the 21st century. We have freedom of speech. I offended everyone because I wrote that Sofia was smiling too much. So what?
I have no right to my own opinion?? We are all supposed to write from the template, what she or somebody else are perfect? What dysfunctional lifestyle are you writing about? What do you know about me to call me that? Have I offended anyone? Please without exaggeration. Stop it.
Xx

What do you mean by dysfunctional way of life?

Twenty five comments and hardly a word about fashion and what Princess Sofia is wearing.
ReplyDeleteI like her ensemble. It would be good to know from which fashion house it came from. Love the way she's smiling whilst mixing with the students and teachers.

@Xxx I was the person that make the comment about dysfunction, and it was not aimed at you personally, my point was that if couldn’t smile because there are so many sad things going on, not only in the world, but on our daily lives as well, we would become a very strange species, unable to ever have joy. Yes there are many things that hurts all of us a little, but the passing of a 96 year old, who has had a remarkable life is not going to stop me from smiling and celebrate the many blessings around me.
ReplyDeleteCherry
I didn't write that nobody can laugh. You, me, whoever ...
DeleteI meant Sofia (royal family member) with a social function. Point for her, she was dressed in black, but that huge laugh just surprised me. Sofia plays a public role. Sofia's father-in-law and Queen Elizabeth II were related. Her behavior was out of place for me (this is my opinion).
Xx
That blouse is straight out of medieval period and I love it! I would love to see it with some coloured bottoms.
ReplyDeleteMimi
Smile = gentle, to someone (for example)
ReplyDeleteLaughter = big, long-lasting, very joyful In this situation, during public engagements ONLY smile.
