  1. That´s a very popular suit, it would appear.
I like the design (minus the exaggerated shoulders), and I think that this navy colour is wonderful, especially in combination with the white blouse. But: I think this size is too small even for Kate´s slim figure, as the trousers are too short and the jacket´s rather tight although it is unbuttoned. The sleeves are too narrow as well, causing the shoulder pads to sit even higher than intended.

Interesting…I see what you mean. The jacket is certainly cut very narrow in the sleeves. (V.M.)

Also think it’s a great look for the Princess but think that the trousers on the model look better, both longer and with wider legs. AnnieM

    3. I accept the features of this contemporary design, even if not to traditional standards. Without these choices the suit would become "any navy suit". It seems that the pants exist in different styling. The model wears wider and longer trousers, the princess chose the slimmer cut and what goes with it.

Could not agree more. At least one size too small was the first reaction I had as well.

Colour is good on Kate though. Funny how she went from never wearing pants - to now almost always wearing pants. Two engagements after the Queen’s funeral, both styled with pants.

Princess of Wales will be an excellent Queen for England soon. She takes her work extremely serious, she is very approachable and she also has a sense of scope and relevance of the Navy. Unfortunately, one notices immediately when she doesn't listen to the stylist. Well, the jacket will probably be worn by Charlotte soon.

  2. This Navy suit looks fabulous, combined with the blouse, very stylish. A great fit, the pants especially. Love the subtle pieces of jewellery, the Sapphire necklace looks fabulous, a nice touch.

  5. This navy blue suit is perfectly tailored, and the white blouse is the perfect contrast. The shiny belt buckle is nice too. I actually like the upturned shoulders which add interest.

Love navy and white together. This pantsuit has good tailoring and perfect fit. Professional but elegant look.

    1. I also think the shoulder pads are ok for her and trendy.

  10. I read "Princess of Wales" and immediately thought of Diana, Princess of Wales. It's gonna take a while until we're used to Catherine now having the title, but I'm sure she'll fill Diana's shoes. It must be rather terrifying to find yourself with that kind of responsibility, even if she knew it would happen sooner or later.

The colour of the suit is nice but it's not a good choice for Kate's body type: Trousers makes her legs look sticky-like and the sleeves are too tight. Maybe that's why the shoulder line also looks weird. - Siri

All our royal ladies seem to be opting for pant suits. CP Mary and HMQ Letizia!
I would have preferred the longer trouser, but that just my personal choice. The color and cut is perfect on Catherine.

There are some clothes that Kate can't wear well because of her overlong torso. Most of the time, the clothes conceal her realistically short legs and not-so-curvy body very well, feigning fashionable slimness and good proportions. But here we have the case again, which is hard on the border of well-fitting and flattering. Especially good to see in the 1st picture. The proportions are not right. But a good colour an there are worse things. Frieda.

Everything about this outfit look fabulous, till we get to the too narrow and short trousers. However Catherine can pull off most anything and wear it well. Anne
