Princess Anne visited Portsmouth Naval Base to met Royal Navy personnel who took part in Queen Elizabeth’s funeral procession. Later, Princess Anne, in her role as Colonel-in-Chief of both the Royal Logistic Corps, and Royal Corps of Signals, visited St Omer Barracks in Aldershot. The Princess met personnel from across the Corps’ who played a central role providing logistical support during the Queen’s funeral and other ceremonial duties.

ReplyDeleteI find the pant suit appropriate for this event however the jacket could be a little shorter in my opinion and the sleeves seems too long also. Princess Anne desperately needs a new haircut. This hairdo makes her look much holder

Older not holder
DeleteNot so much to say, it is as usual..
ReplyDeleteThe Princess looks wonderful. Dressed for the occasion, still in mourning (naturally), the suit is well tailored. I like her scarf. In fact, I like her style generally. She never fell victim to expensive designer clothes, knows what she likes and what makes her feel comfortable and she sticks to it. Good for her!
ReplyDeleteAnne, dear Anne, if you'd only know how much respect I have for you!
ReplyDeleteI endorse what Rosalyn says!
DeletePrincess Anne is a classy lady whom I admire greatly. She just does what she needs to do without drama or a lot of fanfare. She looks very nice in the black pants and jacket and white blouse. The scarf, what is visible, looks very pretty too. The service people she visited seemed happy to meet her.
ReplyDeleteYes, she gets on with the job and doesn't wait for fanfares.
DeleteThe jacket is probably one size too big but then she probably ordered it like that to allow for any shrinkage after the many trips it's going to have to the cleaners.
I hope she doesn't find life without her mother too difficult.
Keep your chin up dear Princess Anne.
Your mother has left many happy memories for you and the Royal family.
Always ready for work. I like her coat. css
ReplyDeleteThe Princess Royal looks well-groomed and appropriately dressed, I love the addition of the silk scarf. I have much admiration for her, she is simply wonderful, quietly gets on with the job, and has done so for many years. Well done to her.
ReplyDeleteAs with all the comments above, massive respect and admiration for the Princess Royal. Appropriate outfit for this event. Like her mother, she’s a perfect example of duty and service. AnnieM
ReplyDeleteSuch an elegant and classic look from the Princess Royal! She looks amazing--and I love the addition of the scarf. Princess Anne is such an incredible lady--truly admirable.

This is one of the few times that I don't dislike her outfit, granted is not a perfect fit, but it's functional and somehow chic. Pity she hasn't inherited her mother's complexion, Queen Elizabeth had an enviable skin, and even at 96 she looked better than most 70 year old women.
ReplyDeleteTenue classique, confortable tout à fait ce qu'il faut pour cette visite ; au premier abord, il me semble voir un foulard en soie !
ReplyDeleteIt's okay. We know she's not a flamboyant dresser or very fashion-conscious, but whatever she wears, she looks well-dressed for the occasion. I have a tremendous respect for her and also for how the whole familiy handled the last couple of weeks. Visiting various people who contributed to the funeral and thanking them is a good move.
ReplyDeleteIt is easy to imagine the Princess Royal as Queen, as well as her beautiful daughter and her husband Mikel, who has developed into a smart prince. Caro
ReplyDeletePrincess Anne, classy, hard working woman, though the jacket is a little too long, she still looks lovely. Asking/or expecting her to change a hairstyle that works well for her, is like asking Princess B to change her hair style, or the former Queen Elizabeth. Anne
