On September 5, Queen Margrethe attended the 2022 Rungstedlund Prize ceremony held at the Karen Blixen Museum in Rungsted. Before that, the Queen visited the Rungstedlund Foundation (Rungstedlundfonden), and was received by Rungstedlund Foundation chairman Michael Bjørn Nellemann and museum director Elisabeth Nøjgaard.
The Queen presented the 2022 Rungstedlund prize to writer Peter Høeg for his distinctive writing. The Rungstedlund Prize was established by the Rungstedlund Foundation in 1991 and is annually awarded to a person who has helped to spread the knowledge of Karen Blixen or who has excelled in a field that was of interest to Karen Blixen.
