On September 1, 2022, Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the placing of the last memorial stones on Akershusstranda street in Oslo that took place in honor of the victims of Nazism during the Second World War.
Since 2010, Oslo Jewish Museum and artist Gunter Demnig have been placing memorial cobblestones in memory of Jewish victims of the Holocaust in Norway. A cobblestone with a brass memorial plaque is placed in the sidewalk at locations where Jews and other Nazi victims lived until they were deported and killed.
MAX MARA Linen and silk canvas dress
I like this dress. Fits her better then the model. Good to see her battle with covid went well consindering her illness.
ReplyDeleteDo we consider this as a safari dress ? I prefer the one of Rania, and above all difficult to compete with Rania ....
ReplyDeleteMy first thoughts were that it is a safari dress. But looking at the model, it appears to me to be a mix of a trench coat and dress, Saharan-style.
DeleteWhatever, she wears it well.
It's a shirt dress. You know like we all have in our closet. At least I have several.
DeleteMette Marit is such a darling person and I like her style, not too much at events like this, not too understated either. And look at her glasses, a normal person! Aggie
ReplyDeleteI do not like this dress one bit. It makes her look like a much bigger lady in a creased raincoat.
ReplyDeleteSeriously why so nasty?
DeleteThese stones are called Stolpersteine - stumble stones because you practically have to stumble over them to see them. There are more of 75.000 of them throughout Europe. They commemorate the former residents of the houses who were abducted and killed by the nazis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stolperstein
ReplyDeleteOn the stones are the names, dates of life and the fate of the victims. This makes them human again and not just a number. Christine
Thank you for the info Christine. I know that this is a fashion blog, but when you share information about the event that our royal ladies attend and the cause that they choose to support I believe it benefits everyone.

DeleteSome information about the event can be interesting.
And to me it is not off topic.
At first glance I thought this was a Trench coat. Alas its a dress. She looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteA powerful event! CP Mette Marit looks nice in a very simple dress that, to me, allows the power of the event be front and center. She is such a lovely lady.

La silhouette de Mette-Marit supporte bien ce modèle de robe même si à première vue, j'ai pensé que cela ressemblait plutôt à un léger imperméable qui se froisse !
ReplyDeleteNice coat or dress. MM looks good and healthy. css
