On August 31, Crown Princess Mary attended The Carlsberg Foundation’s annual gala dinner and 2022 Research Awards ceremony at the New Carlsberg Glyptotek. The awards were presented by Crown Princess Mary, Minister for Education and Research Jesper Petersen, President of the Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters Marie Louise Nosch and President of The Carlsberg Foundation Majken Schultz.
Ice core researcher and physicist Dorthe Dahl-Jensen and semiotician and historian of ideas Frederik Stjernfelt received The Carlsberg Foundation’s Research Awards for 2022. Each year, The Carlsberg Foundation honours two of Denmark’s leading scholars with a research prize. Of the total prize money of DKK 1 million for each winner, DKK 750,000 is earmarked for research activities and DKK 250,000 is a personal gift.
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteI understand it is a dress transformation, surprising but a good result.

ReplyDeleteAlways a stunner. css
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteShe is very aware of the need of wearing her dresses for a longer time. If I remember correctly, she did the same with a black dress designed by Temperley, More women should do this, better to buy something that is more expensive and to wear it for a longer time. I have been brought up with this philosophy long before we talked about "sustainability".
ReplyDeleteYes, but Mary is still one of the biggest royal spendor, when it comes to clothes, accessories and jewels, 4th most indeed .
DeleteAnd Victoria, Maxima and Mathilde e. g.
wear more national design.
Mary is a new kind of Scandinavian royals very different from Victoria, Sofia, Marie and M-M.

The dress is in fact a remake and rewear model of 2013.
DeleteAt that stage it was a long dress as seen in the photo above.
Good marks to Princess Mary for her recycling efforts.
Dear @Anon 1/9/22 19:14. I hear what you say.
I've applied the same philosophy but mainly for economic reasons.
Today we are too much of a "jetable" society.
Princess Ann is a great wear again person.
Princess Victoria did a reware with her blue pants suit the other day.
Bravo mesdames.
@ /LL.
DeleteAny chance you could give the source of information or internet link of what royal ladies spend on their wardrobes, accessories and jewels?
It's the sort of subject that interests me a lot.
Thanks in advance.
Still trying to work out your comment about what makes Princess Mary a new kind of Scandinavian royal.
CP Mary looks stunning as always. Love the colour. Mary
ReplyDeleteBeautiful re-design of a formal gown! Love this version--and the color is wonderful for CP Mary. Mary looks gorgeous.

Mary is wearing Australian designer clothes; fantastic. I like this pretty red dress.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteThis looks very successful, I love this remodeled dress
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that she is such a proactive role model for sustainable fashion.
ReplyDeleteShe is such a wonderful Patron of the Global fashion agenda - with spot on fashion choices, and yet a complete dedication to re-wearing dresses, re-purposing dresses and alterations to ensure she is on trend.
Much respect for making choices that back up her stance!
I think the dress looks much better in its shortened form than as a ballgown. Mary is elegant as always- Ladyofthemanor
