On August 24, 2022, Dutch Queen Maxima, as Honorary President of MIND Us, accompanied by Minister of Education, Culture and Science Robbert Dijkgraaf, visited the activity market of the Reception Week and the Introduction Program for new students at the TU Delft University in Delft. During the working visit, the importance of the mental health of students was discussed. Queen Maxima's outfit is by Belgian fashion house Natan.
ok for the colors and style. These extra long earrings are not the best for her in my view.
ReplyDeleteLooking very Evita like! Though its nice to see the hair up, wonder what condition its in after 6 weeks of sun. Nice outfit too. She has chosen to wear orange and blue as its the name of the campaign. Km
ReplyDeleteIf u had any doubt that she is married to the house of Orange, her top will remind u. Other than that she is well dressed today, the hair is on point too.

Tiens, Natan est revenu de vacances en même temps que Maxima ? Belle association entre le rouge-corail de son haut et le bleu de son pantalon mais je me serais abstenue de ce gros noeud ; je pense que ses longues boucles d'oreilles auraien suffi !
ReplyDeleteShe looks fabulous as always
ReplyDeleteShe looks nicely brushed and polished for a change but I find this blouse pretty silly looking. Looser, wider and without the left over fabric on the shoulder, that the designer did not know what to do with, she might have got away with this brocade like fabric wondering around a very hot Delft student domein.
ReplyDelete@Nalerina. Stylists recommend looser or wider tops on skinny pants and tighter tops on flared pants. She follows the rules whether you like it or not. The fabric draped upon the right shoulder was a fashion phantasy we saw a lot 3 or 4 years ago. Now it is old fashion, she could have removed it (if it is possible). She could also have chosen little earrings instead of the long red ones. But you know this is Maxima, she likes big earrings, several bracelets, etc...
DeleteOh well , it is her style but I can't say I like it.
ReplyDeleteAva
I like the blouse that Queen Maxima is wearing - it is bright and well fitting and adds a bit of dash to the navy slacks. Her hair looks nice when it it pulled back in this way.
ReplyDeleteLess make-up would have been better!
ReplyDelete@ Coralie. She has a sun tan. The only facial parts that are made-up are her eyes, lips and cheeks. The lipstick is a bit too red. You know she always make her eyes up like this even during the day.
DeleteI like it - I think she looks good. Only thing I would change are the dramatic earrings which I think are a bit too much combined with the top.
ReplyDeleteWhen is she going to retire that tired looking blouse that just does not look appropriate day, night or anytime. Put that blouse out of its misery.....I still adore you Queen Maxima!
ReplyDeleteI like the outfit. It hits the right tone of student-like casualness while also looking distinguished and dramatic enough for a queen.
ReplyDeleteShe has lost weight over the summer, I think.
I also think that she lost some weight. I would not say that it makes her look younger. I agree that less makeup would make her look fresher. I like the blouse.
DeleteI agree with you, Vanessa. The queen does look slimmer and looks great in this outfit.
ReplyDeleteYep, I agree. I think Queen Maxima has lost a kilo or two.
DeleteNo doubt, the Greek cuisine seems to have worked well for her.
At least her hair looks OK, but the Natan blouse and earrings are a fail.
ReplyDeleteMO not the nicest look for Maxima. The top is a nice color, but the oversized bow is a no go, don't care much for the earrings either. css
ReplyDeleteWith her hair pulled back like this, Maxima looks just stunning! Most flattering to show off her beautiful facial structure. Hope to see this hairstyle on her more often.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Queen maxima. One royal I have really missed seeing over the last few weeks. It's a tonic just to see her enthusiastic smiling face again. Like the jeans and the shoes and the blouse is okay. Earrings are over the top but hey., who cares? Part of the Maxima magic.
ReplyDeleteMaxima looks great I love the bright top;her hair looks good with bright blond streaks.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteLove it. I wouldn't wear it, and I don't suggest anyone else wear this combination either, but Maxima has her own special, wacky, exuberant style and this is so her style!
ReplyDeleteShe looks fabulous, totally beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAgree AnnieM
ReplyDeleteYou know when I saw her after her long absence, I think I had a tear or two in my eyes.
But then I’m a bit soppy like that.
Not like my unloveable mother-in-law who has never shed a tear in her life.
Anyway I’ve decided that I’m going to be very kind with my fashion comments about Queen Maxima from now on.
Could say that I’m turning over a new leaf (nothing to do with tea).
So, for today, I truly like her ensemble. And a big ‘yes’ for the earrings.
As AnnieM said, they are part of the Maxima magic.
So good to have you back Queen Maxima.
Haha, is this real? Tears in your eyes because you see a picture of someone you do not know personally? And who has not invented a cure against cancer or brought world peace but is only known for marrying up? I love it!
DeleteElisabeth
Second degree Elisabeth. Sigh.
Delete@ Elisabeth : Dear Elisabeth. I must thank you for the information about Queen Maxima. and for opening up my eyes.
DeleteI, for one, didn’t know that she hasn’t yet invented a cure for cancer and found the secret to creating world peace.
Many years ago I had a brief holiday in Argentina (two days, one night) and thank you again for confirming that apparently during that holiday I didn’t meet her.
She was known at that point as Miss Zorreguieta and I’ve never been sure if, by chance, I’d run into her or not. Thanks a million for your confirmation.
And you are so right. Her only claim to fame is “marry up”, in 2013, to a future European king.
So again, thanks awfully for opening up my eyes and now I’ll try to be less soppy about common people that I don’t know, for example, Miss Maxima Zorreguieta.
AND FASHION WISE : The clutch goes well with the overall colouring of her tenue.
p.s. thank you for at last putting a nickname to your comments.
It wasn’t really necessary as your comments under “Anonymous” were always easy to pick out.
Deadeggs
DeleteYou are simply GREAT!!!
If Anonymous, who regale us with a constant hip of non...ops, of amazing comments, is not interested in this blog about royals but in inventors, scientists and politicians, well ,she should turn her attention on extremely remarkable discoveries for mankind worth her incredibly deep and sharp insight.
As to Maxima: I think I'm being soppy too, I am glad to see her again and what I see is a marvellous lady, with fresh highlights and an outfit so well put together.
I'm loving even her garish earrings this time.
A note to blogger " Elisabeth"
You should take some more information about Maxima's visit.
Kudos to her for highligting mental health related issues, like other royal ladies do.
You can benefit from taking notes about what was discussed during this visit.
ToElisabeth: donot get “tears in your euro’s” from the rude exagerated comments you got, Mabel
Delete“Euro’s “= eyes, M.
DeleteEuro’s = eyes!
DeleteSorry!
M.
Back from Greece with a new haircolour and hairdo, both good, hope she keeps this style.
ReplyDeleteMabel
Max is back and looking fab! I couldn't be happier.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13
She has gained weight after the long luxury vacation. Don't wear long pants with those thighs. Betty
ReplyDeleteFunny, a few people think she's lost weight. What kind of pants do you suggest she wears? Hot pants?
DeleteLooks like you have already changed your nickname from 'Elisabeth' to 'Mabel' then to Betty'.
DeleteBut you don't really need a nickname, your comments are so obvious.
Deadeggs, are you ok? You give such strange comments ( when someone is of a different opinion to yours),
DeleteMabel
( nót Betty, Elisabeth, or ……)
Maxima always looks better with her hair up and this is no exception. Her face has considerable charm and hair up allows her features and warm expressions to be the focus. I realize the bright red top with the enormous “thing” on her shoulder and huge earrings are her style but for this event, couldn’t a crisp blouse have sufficed?
ReplyDeleteimagine the DM telling us kate middleton is a fashion icon she should stand next to queen maxima and will see who is the fashion icon!!!!!!!!!
