Today, on 08, 08, 2022, Princess Beatrice of York celebrates her 34th birthday. On the occasion of the birthday, her sister Princess Eugenie shared some photos and a message on her social media account, saying "Happy birthday to my special big sissy. Love you so much".
Princess Beatrice's husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi also shared a photo with the caption "You are the world's best wife. Along with this, you are the best mother in the world. We love you so very much. Happy birthday my darling."
Donot understand these public declarations of love.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice is Beatrice: sometimes looking good, more often not so good,
Mabel
What an absolutely stupid comment. Heaven forbid sisters have affection for each other, especially in a family that can be as stodgy as that one.
DeleteAgree
DeleteBecause she loves others and deserves love in her turn?
DeleteWhat does how Beatrice looks have to do with anything? Her husband and her family adore her.
DeleteHappy birthday to HRH Princess Beatrice of York. Happy wife, happy mother, happy life!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Princess Beatrice I love the way the York princesses sopport each other, especially with the problems they have had with both parents over the years. AnnieM
ReplyDeleteAgree with Annie!
DeleteHappy Birthday to lovely Princess Beatrice! Hope she has had a wonderful day celebrating with friends and loved ones.

May you have a happy fun loving filled day with all your loved ones.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Princess Beatrice.
ReplyDeleteTrès bon et joyeux anniversaire à Beatrice !
ReplyDelete@Mabel, why so negative? Nowadays when so many are trolling, judging and always finding something to complain about, your opinion is that expressing sibling love somehow bothers you? What part of this you don't understand?
ReplyDeleteCB
CB, Thanks for asking.
DeleteThe part that lacks intimacy: that all the world has to know about it, annoys me. Why is a message to your sister alone, whishing her a happy birthday not enough?
Mabel
@Mabel - Because it is 2022 - why are you reading this blog? Is a book or a mag not enough?Siv
DeleteHappy Birthday! I remember the day she was born. It was a big deal of course but also a bit unusual because of the date *and time* of her birth. If my memory serves, I believe the exact moment of her birth was 08/08/1988 at 8:18 am. Apparently all those 8s are a sign of good luck in some cultures.

Gosh I never realised the details of her date + time of birth. I would imagine that the number 8 would be a very special digit for her. The Chinese apparently believe being born on the 8/8/‘88 is the luckiest day of the Century. PollyAnna
DeleteA very happy 34th Birthday to Pss Beatrice of York, Mrs Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Daughter, wife, mother. css
ReplyDeleteWishing HRH Princess Beatrice a very Happy 34th Birthday. I hope her day is surrounded by the people she loves + who love her. It’s refreshing to know that both Beatrice + her sister, HRH Princess Eugenie have maintained a very close bond over the years. They’ve always supported each other throughout their life. They’ve never openly provoked one another or exploited the other one over any personal conflict. Given they had to deal with a very public breakdown + divorce of their parents, Andrew + Sarah, when they were young girls, they have managed to remain relatively strong, stable + grounded. Having both of their parents being muddied about in the media due to various sordid, controversial mis dealings (to say the very least), both sisters have managed to cope quite gracefully throughout what must be personally challenging times. Despite what any of us might think/believe about either or both of their parents, the redeeming factor of Andrew + Sarah is that they managed to construct a united co-parenting relationship post-divorce, which no doubt helped to solidify the connection of both sisters. I read that the girls + their mom, call themselves The Tripod, because they stand together in the face of adversity + stand together to celebrate joy. Happy Birthday Beatrice
ReplyDeleteHave you idea of how many people in the world have to cope with their parents divorce? And most of them without all the privileges of these girls.
DeleteSo please lets not treat them as victims, because its not the case.
@Mabel, intimacy? Perhaps you mean privacy? I don’t see any of the sisters talking to the press or gushing about each other in public, just a simple tribute for a loved sister.
ReplyDeleteOf course we all feel and express love and kindness differently, you’ll be surprised how many people express regret for not having loved more openly & abundantly. Personally I find sibling and family love comforting and makes me believe a little more in the fact that regardless of position or status at the end of the day, family matters!!

Cherry
@Cherry - I agree, you are so right.
DeleteMabel, I completely agree with you! Thank you for your valid comment! - Ellie
ReplyDeleteWhat about his son's mother? Isn't she the best mother to his other child as well?
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday princess Beatrice! I love you!
