The meeting focused on how India will incorporate financial inclusion and digital economy into its G20 agenda. Queen Maxima had visited India as UNSGSA in 2014 and 2018. On December 1, 2022, India will take over the G20 presidency from Indonesia.

Here we go again; Messy stringy hair, along with a rather ugly patterned dress, earrings that need their own zip code, and a ring that does not match the earrings, would not want to see the length of garment, or shoes. She is a total mess in this. Look at the people around her, dressed for the occasion, she did not get the memo. Jaki

      I agree with you!

    2. I don't think there will be a change of style from Maxima in the near future. After all why would she go for a change if she feels her style satisfies her.

I've liked this dress on Maxima since she first wore it, and it is suitable for India's current humid, monsoon weather. I find the colours bright and refreshing. I'm also fine with the uneven hem.

Fully agreed. Looks good on her and appropriate for the occasion and location.

    3. I'm actually okay with this dress as well. It's a bit too patterned for my personal taste but it looks fine on Queen Maxima. I don't normally comment on the lack of hairstyle and I accept the comments of Mimi about the difficulty of styling hair in the humid climate but she could have tied it back or twisted it up to give a more professional look for this meeting.

  5. I don´t mind the dress as such, but I find it terribly out-of-place for this business occasion. She should save this for a private summer party or something.
Her hair is both inexplicable and inexcusable.

  6. Cette robe déjà portée lui va moins bien que la dernière fois même si elle est dans un tissu et joli imprimé qui convient au climat actuel de l'Inde ; de plus, je trouve que Maxima a un petit peu minci !

The brown blush ages her 20 years. With the humid conditions, low bun or pony tail would have been preferable to the unkept, haggard appearance of the Queen. MR

I am an Indian and let me tell you, it is immensely hard to maintain hair in our weather. She probably had a long flight and unless she immediately went to a professional dresser to have a wash and deep conditioning, nothing would have worked. Look at our Finance Minister in the last picture, sitting across Maxima. Her hair is frizzy as well.

I’m pleased with the way Queen Maxima is dressed for this occasion. She is a very intelligent woman. I get her (I’m the same way) not going total glamour for this meeting.

I like this dress too. I love the print and colors. It is the dress she wore on the picture that has been taken just before their holidays began and I remember she wore white shoes with it. I don't remember how the uneven hem was. Normally I do not like uneven hem's in general but sometimes somebody is not looking bad at all with it. And I think this is the case here.

Don't normally comment but I love this dress, the print and the colours work so well for her. And it seems appropriate for a working meeting. So, from me, a well done!

  11. One would think she found the time during her vacation to get her hair cut and styled. She looks a mess from head to toes.

Interesting comment. Where do you see her toes, if I may ask? To justify your assertion one would imagine you saw something no one else did.

Exactly right; she looks a mess from head to toe. - CH, 'head to toe' is a saying in English and means over the entire body, and is not a reference to toes. - Ellie

@Anon 21:07 , It is just English saying about all "from head to toes"

@ CH, from head to toe is a common expression, equivalent to “ from top to bottom”you don’t need to see anybody’s toes to use the phrase.
I do like this dress I think is folksy and a little ethnic, and it fits her very well. I do disagree with the justification that the climate in India is not hair friendly, we all know that her hair is a mess regardless of humidity. I have struggled understanding why doesn’t she have a personal hairdresser, they have more than enough money to hire one, some of her shoes and dresses are probably worth an entire monthly salary. Also this family isn’t known for frugality, so perhaps she thinks she looks OK? I don’t get it.

Q Maxima could really do better. This is a dress easy to forget. She should have put her hair up, she looks so much better. Maybe it was windy? css

    1. I think that Maxima likes above all to have a different hair style every day; I heard that so often from my colleagues, and is not ready to have her hair up everyday. Which I can understand.

I think her hair looks even worse than before maybe because of humid weather.

I liked this dress the first time she wore it and I like it even more now. Her hair is lighter and I like it also. She is a spectacular, brilliant and beautiful woman. - Ana María

At this point in her life, Maxima should know how to gather up her own hair and tuck it into a bun herself. Even if the bun was not perfect, it would be better than this distracting stringy mess. The dress is a repeat that I didn’t much like the first time, but I do see that it has a lot of colorful personality and appeal.

  20. Queen Maxima's hair style is/was known as "Shabby -Chic".
You can find info and photos on it via the net.
Is it a good style for a Queen?
