ReplyDeleteThe duchess has only the best sailor to accompany her, Sir Ben Ainslie is a British olympic sailor, the most successful sailor in Olympic history.

May I know who is that guy please?
DeleteThis is Sir Ben Ainslie - highly decorated Americas Cup sailor. Christine
DeleteIn these photos she looks much yonger than her age (if I didn't know her age, i'd say she's in her 20s). I like her casual and sporty look.

Lovely seater and shorts these two pieces look great on her. css
ReplyDeleteLove the 30s style shorts. They are wonderful. I’m not a fan of the sweater but it looks good on the Duchess. AnnieM
DeleteKate was born for the sporting life, and she always looks great in sports gear. No exception here.

well toned, this outfit suits her well.
ReplyDeleteBut that hair is almost waist length. perhaps she is going to donate it to charity.
hair length was also on my mind... hopefully also on her's
DeleteLove this casual, nautical look. Beautiful tailored shorts. This would look great on anyone, and easily replicated.

The shorts look, a bit out of place, the gold buttons make them look tacky; there are so many nice sailing shorts, and tops. The guy in GB sailing gear looks pretty handsome. Was she educating people on sustainability on the high seas. Actually Princess Anne is the best sailor with her Rustler off the west coast of Scotland.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteThere isn’t anything tacky about this look. She look amazing !
DeleteWell if this is tacky, call me tacky! LOL

Toujours fière allure dans une tenue sportive qui a le don de mettre en valeur son corps tonique !
ReplyDeleteI am afraid I disagree with most I think those shorts are awful and a jersey tucked into them makes them look really awful. I would much rather have seen shorts more like the other sailors are wearing or a pair of jeans cutoffs. Somehow whenever she dresses in reasonably smart gear for sailing she just looks to me a bit silly. I am refering to those other navy blue long trousers she has which look like old fashioned sailors uniforms with those six buttons on the front of which these shorts remind me. Her casual sailng outfits do look good on her.
ReplyDeleteThis may be her “ shore going outfit” (as it used to be called in the navy). The last two pictures K wears professional sailing clothes.

I agree in some things with Nalerina, however I like the shorts they are very cute and have the perfect length for this event, I do not like the sweater it looks like she is just in sailor costume. I think a nice vibrant polo, or a fitted cotton T-Shirt would have been ideal.

A Duchess for all seasons.
ReplyDeleteLove Kate's jumper very classic. Overall a smart look. Mary
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess looks appropriately dressed, sporty. The shorts look fabulous, love the length, the top is a great choice.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit does nothing for her, though Duchess Catherine is one of the most beautiful Royals in Europe.
