On July 18, 2022, King Felipe and Queen Letizia handed out the National Sports Awards 2019 and the National Extraordinary Sports Award 2020 at the Royal Palace of El Pardo in Madrid. National Sports Awards were created in 1982 and are annual sports awards that are given to Spanish athletes with best achievements in the preceding calendar year.

In the 2020 edition, a single National Award for Extraordinary Sports was given to all athletes who have contributed to fighting the pandemic. The award ceremony could not take place in the last two years due to the pandemic restrictions.

    Je peux remarquer que la couleur rouge est de sortie particulièrement sur la dernière photo que ce soit en tailleur-pantalon ou en robe comme Letizia ; j'adore la voir porter ses boucles d'oreilles !

    Very sophisticated dress, love the color.
    Cross-over style and plunging neckline can sometimes look bulky but this style looks great on her. Also like her shoes, earrings and hair.
